    Things I can never have...

I don't know if my thread is in the appropriate section but its about love so...

I still don't understand why God has never given me any capacity to be loved. I never even had a female friend not even just a simple conversation. I am thankful for all the blessings I've received but I really pray for is that I feel loved by someone. I have many flaws and I know I can only blame myself for my misfortunes. Most of the times I feel depressed because of the fact that I'm alone. The only reason why I still continue to go on with life is because i have no right to take my own life away. Not having someone is a difficult thing as it diminishes my self confidence and takes away my joy of life. Am I not cut out to have someone?

God has given everyone the capacity to love and be loved. He loves us all and we reply in kind by loving Him and others. We can take confidence from God's love and present this to everyone we contact.

Smile and be encouraging and you will find people will respond in kind. Be confident. We can't change other people but we can change how we present ourselves and with God's guidance we can show our lovable godly nature.

    Give it a try.

How can I be confident if I don't have anything to be confident about. I sometimes ask why did God make me like this. He could have made me a better person.

    Hi Unknown,

The first thing you need to know and understand my brother in Jesus is that you must not put your joy in finding someone or having someone on this earth...Your true joy and confidence comes from the very fact you have a Lord and Savior who loves you very much just as you are flaws and all. We all have flaws...noone is perfect but the one thing we can always count on is our Lord loves us and will never ever leave us.

Nothing to be confident about? How about a Lord and Savior that calls you son and loves you more than any earthly person could and He wants you to right now concentrate on Him and the relationship you have with Him. I myself am 41 and have been single for many years and yet still I have joy because Jesus resides in me and resides over my life. He has given me many joys and blessings even though I remain single right now. Each new day we see is a blessing, the fact we can see, hear, walk and talk is a blessing, start counting your blessings my friend in Jesus because they are many and not having someone doesn't take away from those blessings and each day God gives us He also gives us new blessings...Don't let satan steal the joy you have in Jesus...this is what he wants to do steal, kill and destroy...you questioned as to why you don't have someone andwhy God hasn't given you a capacity to be loved...if you had no capacity to love would Jesus love you as He does...no he wouldn't but you do have the capacity to be loved and to give Love...Let Jesus love you now and give Him all the love you have in your heart...He is your confidence and will give you the self confidence you need. You are never alone because Jesus will never leave you and will be there to go through everything with you. He knows how much you long for someone but first let yourself grow more in Him, be patient and wait on the Lord and you will mount up as on wings of eagles...let your petitions be known to him and be still and know
He is God and will provide that which you ask in His perfect timing.

Psalm27:14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait I say on the Lord.

Isaiah40:31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings of eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We are told all through the bible to wait on our Lord Jesus, so this is the best advise I can give you now. Wait on Jesus just wait on Him and know that He knows what is best for you...that He will sustain you and keep you and keep on praying and when you do thank Him for the things you have now my friend and rejoice that He has redeemed you and sancitified you and that you are reconciled to God through Him and then all the things you ask will be added unto you. My prayers for you will be lifted up to our Lord and Savior for you. May He bless you abundantly each and every day in more ways than you ever thought possible.

    @AbbysAunt

I know that Jesus loves me and i'm very thankful of that, He is inthe only one I turn to whenever I feel down since nobody around me really offers much help. Its not that I "disregard" or "neglect" my relationship with God, i'm not putting above him the love from others. It is however always a lingering thought on my mind no matter what i do I find a hard time appreciating everything, it is as you said that satan is using my "weakness" to blind me of my other blessings. I know that relationship with God is most important, it is however very hard to not have someone beside you, I mean Adam had an Eve right?

After thinking about the replies and what I have been posting here I realized where I was wrong I was kinda "blinded" even though I felt I was not. Sadly I was looking for love from someone else and I felt like I forgot that Jesus was there all along. I thought of it yesterday after praying and it came to me like I should not be prioritizing looking for something that is of this world. Although it will not hurt to have someone I should have not put this before Christ. Its like a eureka moment when I thought that if I put Christ on my number 1 list every thing else will follow (not that I'm doing this to get what I want, I am doing this because I felt like it was right) even my issues with myself will probably be "fixed". I don't know if what I thought was right or wrong but this is what I have deduced/concluded.
    Any thoughts?

    Amen.
Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

Be busy for him, and in time He will provide for u a wonderful helper for he never wants you to be alone, He just wants you to learn to prioritize him above all.
"...but the LORD looks at the heart." - 1 Samuel 16:7 :heart8:

    Hi Unknown,

Yes Adam did have Eve, but not at first. God created adam first and then eve. Adam had to wait for that which God would provide him with a special person to share life with.
I know how hard it can get to wait and be patient. For me the hardest times are around the holidays, but we have to remember that Jesus is there with us celebrating. He is my husband and ultimate provider. He will provide in His perfect time the perfect life partner for not only myself, but for you too. Our Lord wants nothing but the best for us and we shouldn't settle for less than His best my friend. If we don't wait on Him we can end up in a relationship where we feel just as alone or more than we are right now being single and I should know cause i've been through this and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I believe you are right when you say putting our Lord first will allow everything to fall into place. When He is head over everything it is Him that allows everything to fall into place and for those blessings which we seek come to pass. Remember it may not happen over night but in His perfect timing God will provide for you that special someone you are wanting in your life.

Here is a verse in the book of John that talks about answered prayer. I do hope it you enjoy it and that it will help you my friend and brother in Jesus. It's one of His promises to us that if we are obiedent to Him that what we ask He will do for us if we ask in His name.

John14:12-14 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name I will do it.

    Hello Friend/Brother in Christ

I am so thankful your prayer lead you to "Seek yea First His Kingdom and His Righteouness and everything will be taken care of" "He will take care of you". One of my favorite Eye Opening passages!!!

I am in a boat similar to yours, dealing with loneliness, wondering why, heartbreak and a since of hopeliness. I to seek the very Spirit that lives within me, my Savior, my Father, my Daddy, my Friend and yet I struggle. I hate what I have let the Dark one and his followers have accomplished in my years of struggling and what they have done to my family. I hate this place!! We definitely don't belong here!!!

All I really want to say, because you are single as Paul was. You can go out into this crazy world touch so many lives with what gifts you have been empowered with so easily. You can join a group like "Celebrate Recovery" Recovery and help those just like yourself find that hope!!!

Marriage and having a soul mate can be a beautiful thing, but Satan will try his best to destroy it. It's hard work. Daily devotion, self sacrafice that is very serious and some take it for granted. Maybe not at first, but as time goes by, it can happen, and it is about the worst thing a heart can experience! Please wait on God!!!

Helping others always blesses you beyond your wildest hearts desires!!!

I hope I haven't scared you. I lift you up to the only One that already holds you and wants to rock you, dance with you, run on the beach with you, admire the beautiful things you see with you, He wants to do everything with you:)

In the only love I can describe and understand, Christ Love
    God Bless You Supremely!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There someone for everyone :) you just have to be yourself and put yourself out there to meet new people. Remember that confidence is key you don't need good looks for someone to fall in love with you
