    Self Control.

First I would like to say how glad I am nothing to bad happened today! The Swiss Alps had 300,000 cubic meters of rock fall from its mountain today, but apart from that, not any real serious problem for any of us! First a prayer before I begin.

Lord Jesus give me your words to speak unto us this evening, you told me not to speak before 6pm today, and I have obeyed thy word given unto me,I ask that you shine your light unto us,give us something our mind can use to help each one of us not only grow closer to you,but stay closer to you,in every area of our life,In Jesus Name I pray amen!

Acts 24:25 But as he was discussing righteousness, self control, and the judgement to come Felix became frightened and said go away from the present and when I find time I will summon you.

Self control-The Power to control ones own behavior,emotions,etc..Some in the faith, have looked to show us,how we do this. Some have written books telling us how to become successful and rich. Some in the faith movement have done the very same thing. Some appear to be most successful! Because they have wealth, which is what what people measure success by.

While at the very start what most teach is very good, they forget something which has happened to all who have taught this!( Romans 1:18-23!!) Please read this before moving on.( 1 Cor 1:18-21) And one more.( Rom 12:3-8!!) The point! Self Control, can be started by each of us.We do have power of our own mind.True in some cases there are exceptions to this rule! But for most of us out there,it is true.

That is why there is judgement, and that is why there is righteousness in self control! You see there is a penalty for not having this!( 1 Cor 7:5!)P.R.Means please read. We are tempted by not having self control.Yes this deals with marriage but it can deal with any area of our life as well.

For what does not having self control lead to, one may ask?? How about this.( 2 Tim 3:1-7!!) P.R.verse 3!! So my brothers and sisters we must obtain knowledge to have this!! ( 2 peter 1:5-11!!!!!)P.R.verse 6!!Self control cause us to have perseverance! To be able to overcome! What does indeed start with us,is the fact we seek it! We look for it,we long to keep it!And how to have this is not only seeing this in our minds, but also confessing through God' Holy Word we renew our mind from God himself! Not through ourself!!( rom 12:1-2) P.R.

Faith confessed from ourselves does not yield true fruit, but words spoken from God always does! Many look to self to build on.What I have found,as many here have also found, is that in time,we find our house is sinking in the sand we made our house into! Because we looked unto self to have control. Self control only can come from God's Word!

We always have to look unto him,not us!Faith means to trust, and trust means to act,and action bears fruit, when that action is from God's own words! Our minds stores what we wish it to.Some minds like myself have become a basement, sorted with much good, but also much we do not need to keep but do! Just in case I may need it one day!

That bridge we keep is what leads to temptation, and on the other side of that bridge waiting to swallow you whole is the devil!( 1 Peter 5:8) We have to stay sober! and always on the alert! If we have no self control,we cannot do this. SO!! We must grow in grace!! Both for ourselves as well as others!( 2 peter 3:18)

For in grace to ourselves and for others,we gain knowledge! Knowledge which will keep us sober, and always alert! I could have presented this without scripture,as many Faith teachers do,as well as many self proclaimed teachers of the world have. But in time, when something goes wrong, you will not find the answer in any of there books written! I looked!! Jesus is the way, the truth and yes the life! God's Word is that life we have in him!

Think twice before you speak once. And never quit! A old gym teacher once spoke words from a famous football coach, many here know of whom I speak of.Vince Lombarti, who said. A quitter never wins, and a winner never quits!

Thomas Edison the man who discovered the light blub failed 10 thousand times! But in his self control,he never quit! He learned 10 thousand ways it did not work! Self control is learning, learning gains knowledge, and knowledge bears much fruit! But fruit gained by faith in God's Word rather then in our own!

You can confess something good till the cows come home, but without a rock foundation from God's Word, you will find a great deal of cracks in ones foundation!I sure did! Self begins the race, but Jesus carries one through the race to the very end!Our end!! The day of Judgement! When we all have to give an account of what we did, or did not do.

Now may the grace of our Jesus carry you all to self control, and may the knowledge he gives each of you, carry you all to the end of our race in him!! To God be made all the Glory for his wisdom!! And for your purpose in him!! To overcome!! Blessing all!

    Dear Brighthouse,

    Glory be to GOD!

And Amen let us be built upon the rock and be a sober doer of the word of God and not just a hearer only!

Remembering that it is God's Work in us that is sanctifying us and empowers us to submit to Him by surrendering all to Him daily. And that we have overcome through the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Victory on the Cross! Our Faith in God for without God we cannot do anything, our power comes from Him!

Glory be to our Lord Jesus The King of kings and Lord of lords O Hallelujah! AMEN!

Remember we should walk by faith and not by sight

i don't like this message it seems very condemming contrary to grace.

resisting temptations and growing sure is golden but living in guilt and fear of judgement whole life isnt.

not sure how am i suposed to be uplifted by this message. its rather down putting.

Brother Jari. What to you is the difference between fact and faith? I do not understand why you feel condemned??? Some believe that once they become saved, they can never lose this. That is faith! For the fact of the matter truly is,one does not know until the end do they??

A friend tells you that is a good deal on a car you wish to buy,so in faith, you go to the place the person told you to go. When you get there while it is true there is a deal, the price or the cost is higher then you were led to believe. That is what the Lord in me is saying.

To the person who believes they are always saved, they are, until the fact, that can only be seen by meeting our Lord in the end.For what is fact, if one never had faith to begin with. For some I sure believe, the faith they used will have the same as fact in there end.But we are all different, and so is our faith. And so are our results! This is why I do not come out against O.S.A.S. anymore!

For some they will be right!!Hebrews 11:6 But for some, who speak this, and yet there life has not changed, well then there life will change into a fact they never thought possible!!( matt 7:18-27) I am sorry you feel this way,as I have never pointed to anyone except myself.

I have never judged another. My only point is always to think upon our faith, and find out, is it really a fact to us? It is a fact when we do our very best to live our faith, making it a fact! That is all I am led to speak about. I hope you understand the meaning. Faith or fact? You decide,I never do.

There is no fear in love,as long as we have this, then we do have nothing to indeed fear!! 1 John 4:18 But as you know many do not love there brothers or sisters! verse 20 this makes there so called love they say this fact! And since we know this is true, what result will be the outcome of there faith? GRACE???? OR FACT????

To me Jesus is not only loving, with great grace, but God is also most just! For if he were not fair and just, who would not be saved? No matter what they did,or how they lived? What would be the point to following, if no result or fact is received? And if there is no penalty,Jesus had no point in coming in the first place. But he did have a purpose!!

And no matter how much many people say God will not send anyone to hell,Rev 22:12 makes it very clear, that God will indeed render to all what is coming to them!Good, or bad!

The fear of the Lord is only the beginning!!!!! of Wisdom!! Psalm 111:10 My point.YES!!! God has great grace!! YES!!! he loves us all!! And yes, there is a fact to each of our faith according to what we do, or do not do! For if you think for one second no justice will be rendered to each of us,then you my good brother, have closed your own eyes to the truth of his Word set before us all. We follow because we love Jesus,he who does not, recieves what he has followed.

You are quite right brother brighthouse justice will be rendered to each of us. It amazes me when people say to me or to others " if God is love how can He send anyone to hell" the truth of this is...God gave each of us free will and we have to choose how to use that free will. I've come to realize that it is man who condemns himself not God. When we use that God given free will to take part in things intentionally that we know are wrong we are then condemning ourselves, but if we use that free will to come to Jesus and seek repentence and make Him head over our lives we are allowing Him to ready our place in heaven and I for one can think of no better place to be. Are we perfect, no not by any means but now that we have come to Jesus He is the one who will help us through the tempations that come our way. Continuing to the best of our ability to strive for that eternal reward in heaven and making sure we are living what we teach and preach to others is something we must make sure we do each day..when we do this we are infact practicing not only self control but judging ones self and our actions and if they match up to what in is the written word of God. God doesn't want anyone to go to hell He is not willing that any suffer, but if we do suffer it's because of our own decisions not God's.

1cor.10:12-13 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has over taken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

2Peter:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
