*3 Cups of all purpose flower2 cups of Sugar1 tsp. soda1 tsp. salt1 tsp. cinnamonMix above well so that soda will be mixed evenly. (Do not use mixer)Next add:1-1/2 cups of Crisco or Wesson oil1-1/2 tsp. vanilla3 large eggs1-8 ¼ oz can of crushed pineapple in its own juice. (Use the whole can juice and all)Mix thoroughly (will seem thick)Last Add:2 cups of diced bananas.1 cup of pecans.Bake in a well greased tube pan at 350 preheated oven on center rack for about an hour to hour 10 minutes or so.( I add extra pineapples to mine you just have to bake it a little longer.)*

One little question, I assume when you say soda, you mean baking soda?

Believe it or not but some cakes are made with soda pop, such as the 7-UP Cake.
