[GFA Urgent Update] Bombay Flood Destroys 12 Churches

As I write to you today, more than 500 people have already lost their lives in the heavy flooding that hit Mumbai (Bombay), India, this week ... and the death toll is rising.

This is where five million people, some of the poorest of the poor, live in slum areas in little makeshift huts with dirt floors. For many, what little possessions they had for their daily survival are now destroyed, swept away in the waters. Twelve of our churches were also destroyed, and our Bible college was damaged. My dear friend, my heart breaks for these precious people for whom Jesus died, who are cherished in His sight.

Please join us in prayer for no more lives to be lost, and that many will find hope in Jesus through these hardships. Pray as well for our missionaries in the area as they reach out in practical ways with the love of Christ.

Thank you for your prayers. I know the Lord will use them in the lives of countless men, women and children living in the slums of Mumbai.

Yours on behalf of the unreached,
