Petition to Oppose Hate Crimes Legislation

All Members of the United States Senate

As a concerned Christian, I hereby petition you to oppose the upcoming “Hate Crimes” bill. This flawed legislation would create special classes of victims whose pain and suffering, whose very lives, would be defined as worth more than other lives under the law. This is an unconstitutional principle, and it must be stopped now. Further, it could be interpreted to place limits on the free speech of Christians and others whose faith calls for them to morally oppose certain lifestyle choices. This denial of free speech to certain segments of the population is also unconstitutional, and is dangerous for the future of our nation. Please do all that you can to see that this faulty piece of legislation is defeated in the Senate. -Pastor Rod Parsley
