    Called to move

I need prayer for myself and family which includes a wife and 3 children. My wife and I feel that God has called us to move to Pensacola, FL and we have put if off for two years. We have been "getting by" for those 2 years and have finally yielded. Our home in Louisiana is in foreclosure so we had to leave anyway. We are staying with a friend in Pensacola now and looking for jobs and a place to live. We have a little money left but we need God to move quickly for us. This move in entirely by faith. We have no apparent reason for being here. We don't understand why God wants us here or what we are to do. Everything we own is here in storage and we start looking for jobs and a place to live tomorrow.

Praying for you being open to the leading of the Lord. If you are diligent in your search for work, something will open up!
Do not look to dead things for life. Seek the Spirit while it may yet be found.

If God has called you to Pensacola, then He has a reason for you being there, a reason He will show you in due time. I also will be praying that you will be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and that you will be able to settle quickly with jobs and a home.

I will be praying for you brother. I know how scary the responsibility of caring for a family can be. Remember two things though, you will get through this with God and be better for it and God wont forsake you.
    James 1
    2
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
    5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

    Philippians 4
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

You may want to read the whole chapter of Philippians. It is very encouraging. I know there is a Christian college there in Pensacola. I would seek them out and see if they might have a network that can help you out as well.

    Greetings @Yellajacket

At home we read Bagster's Daily Light on the Daily Path
And during our morning devotional.....my husband and I realised that we were reading the wrong passage....one from July rather than June.

But I thought of your prayer request thread... as the wrong passage was been read and would like to share it here with you
I pray the verses bless you and are of comfort at this uncertain time

My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

    Exodus 33:14

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. The LORD, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
    Deuteronomy 31:6, 8

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed for the LORD thy God is with thee, withersoever thou goest.
    Joshua 1:9

In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
    Proverbs 3:6

He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
    Hebrews 13:3, 6

    Our sufficiency is of God.
    2 Corinthians 3:5

    Lead us not into temptation.
    Matthew. 6:13

O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
    Jeremiah 10:23

My times are in Thy hand.
    Psalm 31:15
I live yet not I, but Christ liveth in me
    Galatians 2:20

Thank you guys for your prayers and comments. They are really encouraging. Today I am officially homeless and jobless. The place we are staying is only temporary and we do not even feel wanted here. Praying that God move quickly. Not sure how much more this family can take.

    Philippians 4:6

Praying that the Lord will intervene quickly at this difficult time
Keep looking to the promises in His word
Remember that they are steadfast and will never let you down

But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
    Philippians 4:19

Casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you

Joining in prayer here. Take heart Bro. and not be anxious, but give thanks to the Lord in advance for your home and job. He is our Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider. He is our faithful God. He will never leave you nor forsake you. If the Lord has really called you there, He will see you through.

    Every blessing in Christ Jesus,

    TWO

Ephesians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Matthew 20:28 :hands:
