Dear brother. This may very well be true. However, it's not just waiting for the bad habits to fade. You have to change and start filling them those times with good habits. Everything from, reading His Word, praying, talking with others as you grow in His word about the One who saved you. You have abilities that God has given you, even if they have been dormant or unused until now. Put them to use. Incorporate the things you like to do, working out, technology, etc. with growing in His Word. You’ll be surprised how much of the Word of God really does apply to each and every situation that one can go through, and can touch the areas that we do have abilities in as well. These will be the areas that God will begin using you in and will make you stronger as well. The day will come that those “bad habits” that you talk about now, will be only examples that you use to show others, how Christ has changed you, and helped you to be the person you will be through Christ Jesus. Fragrant Grace has given you good scripture verses to pray and reflect upon. See how they fit into your life. Then you’ll start to change, and begin to put new good habits in place. The interesting part is that once you start on this path of growth, you’ll be surprised that you’ve changed at all, because it will take someone else to bring it to your attention! To you it won’t seem like you’ve changed, but you will have! We're the last ones to see the change in ourselves.
Remember you have brothers & sisters here at TJ who are praying for you as well.
