    Feeling hopeless

I just need prayer. I've just been feeling more and more lately like there's just no hope. Seems like prayer has become just begging for an answer that doesn't seem to come. I've just gotten tired of hoping and being let down again and again. I watch those around me be blessed, but there doesn't seem to be enough left to hand to me. And so, I just become more sad and depressed and hopeless feeling. There was a time when I had the energy to hope, to read my Bible more, to pray constantly...and yet, even then it just seemed like I was forgotten...and so here I am just despondent...numb. I know the problem is with me and that God is true and in control and is listening...but I just would give anything right now to be reminded of that in a way that isn't just words on a page. I feel abandoned in my daily life...when I pray and pray and pray only to have anything that can't go wrong, go wrong...and worse. Between health, finances, job issues, family issues. I don't know how to pray anymore because I feel like it's fallen on deaf ears. The funny part is my prayers for others get answered. I dunno what it is. Maybe I'm being punished for something. Born with a birth defect, maybe I deserved it somehow. I dunno anymore. I just could use some encouragement and prayer from others.

I can empathized with some of what you are feeling right now , i was feeling similar not too long ago . I knew I needed to turn to the Lord and give my situations to Him and TRUST him to work it all out for good . However I was afraid to trust again . I knew i was being lied to and my weaknesses were being played upon by the enemy , and still was doubting and fearful to TRUST . I also knew i wanted and needed to get back on track so i spent a few days reading and coming on to TJ to talk in chat with other christians , and have them pray with me and for me .

I eventually got back to wher i needed to be . Thank you Jesus for all my friends here and for never leaving me .

The enemy may scheme to pull me away from the Lord , He may influence my life , my marriage , my home , and take these things from me , but the one thing he can not have unless I hand it over , is my soul , and I will not allow him that !!

Father you are our healer and comforter , Thank you for all that you do in our lives , blessings seen and unseen ! Please hold Fire in your loving embrace and grant her peace in these times . You already know what is in her heart and what she needs . In jesus' name I rebuke all the enemy's spirits from her heart mind and body !! Thank You Jesus for the power of your most high name to send these spirits from her ! Even as i pray these words now , i ask that she be overcome by the feelings of peace and understanding. Thank you Lord , we praise you ! You loved us first !! You never forsake us Father !! You are an awesome God ! I ask these things in Jesus' name
    Amen !

    God Bless you fire !

I know first hand, how feeling hopeless can affect a person, and I will be praying for you, so that God will reassure you that He never lets go. His grip is most warm and firm.

May I suggest that you read your bible daily. So many times when I am really down, my bible always opens to a scripture that pertains to my situation at that time.

Pray and read His Word, Please do not give up. LET GO AND LET GOD!

    .

it's really very funny... i got this question three times "Why is it easier to lift up other's need than our own needs?"...

Great is the Lord for the answers I receive from some of the members here in the chat room... but i can't tell exactly what they said... (hehe.. lol)

    hope somebody would answer though...

This is it sister.. You're very right... We need others too for they are God's extension in our lives....

Good you're in this site... TJ has become a great extension to me to be blessed spiritually...

Father, the sun cannot compare with the glory of Your love
There is no shadow in Your presence Lord
Though no man on earth could there to stand before Your Throne
For thou art in heaven and You are Holy, Lord
It's only by Your Blood Lord Jesus,
It's only through Your mercy that we can come

Help us continually to bring You an offering of worship unto You
Whatever our situations may be... though from the top of the mountains
or down to the valleys' low Father,
May You come to help us standing on our ground
Never let You go in our lives
You alone is the lover of our soul
Never You will leave us nor forsake

Forgive us Lord if we fail in our dark times
And loose our faith and trust in You
Thank you for if we admit our shortcomings to You
You are faithful and just to forgive us Lord
And cleanse us from all unrighteousness
We receive it by faith right now

Having now the confidence to approach Your throne of grace
Finding help in all our needs Lord
Lifting you up our dear sister in Your name
Let Your fire consume her need Lord
And let her know that Your hands are not too short
    To reach her out
and Your ears are not dumb to hear her prayers
I pray for Your mighty visitation in her life
Like never before, flooding her soul with Your peace
With your great love, You alone is our hope

Thank you for when we ask according to Your will
You will answer us... This is Your will Lord, that we be kept in You
And being found always in Your presence...

We give you praise and thanksgiving.. In Jesus name.. Amen

    God bless you beloved..

I think we need to go back and see what the early Christians went through, and be thankful we have not yet shed any blood.
I know when I feel let down,or disappointed that is what God says to me.......You haven't shed any blood yet.

    We're a spoiled nation.

Not many living today have had any persecution like those of old.

Why are we not thankful, instead of complaining?

Gods word tells us to be thankful in ALL things.

Whether we abound, or have nothing.

You ask, and receive not because you ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lust... or...
And this is the confidence we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us.

I feel we need to examine our hearts, and humble ourselves ,and pray.

Sometimes Love gives correction first, so we can see clearly, then when we repent his arms are there ready to embrace and say.......I love you.
    Always have, always will.

    PS: Birth defect?
There was a man born blind, and Jesus disciples asked, Who sinned, this man or his mother that he was born blind?
Jesus answered ,Neither this man, nor his Mother ,but that the power of God might be manifest.
Your defect ,as you mentioned, maybe simply a tool God desires to use.......Praise God for it.

It is tough when you pray and the heavens seem like brass. The times in the valley are the times that make us who we really are. The scripture teaches us that when we are in the valley that He is there with us.(Ps. 23)
I say this because I have been where you are. I believe that the Lord allows us to experience these times so that we can grow in faith and share our experience with others like yourself who need encouragement and direction. Sometimes God has to bring us to the end of ourselves to get our undivided attention. It is there that we surrender and we yeild ourselves to His will and refining. Although it may seem at the time that you are the only one that has ever been through this, rest assured, we are all experience trials and testing in our lives. Scripture tells of the life of Job. Praying..........

Yes father God, give our dear sister strength. That when the enemy comes as a roaring lion to tear her down with so many things, that she would put up the mighty sheild of faith, and know that the enemy has been defeated! I love that song that sings, "The enemy has been defeated! Death couldnt hold you down! Were gonna lift our voice in Victory and make your praises loud!" We give you glory god, and pray your glory shines in my sister's life. In jesus prescious name, Amen.
The one thing the enemy cannot stand is PRAISE! Even if there's not a song to sing, we have our lord, and has us! God bless you sister in Christ :).

    2Cor. 12:9

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

    2Cor. 12:10

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

May God bless and heal you according to his purpose and perfect will.
