Attending Church, what if I can't?

Hi Brother-Paul, I had no idea what any of the Christening was about unfortunately.
Did you see my new post about possession? I was hoping to hear your opinion. The thread is, satan???? Ask the 'community' God said.
I'm a little concerned that my Christening has no real value and there is no way of getting Baptized any time soon with what's going on.
I'm being plagued by evil spirits and I'm getting a bit concerned about it all.
Someone said to contact Deliverance ministry. Diocese of Worcester or search to find one closer to me. Would that be a good idea?
I really would appreciate your thoughts. I'm on my own here, literally. Thank you.

Dear sister,

Fear not. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. We discussed previously Proverb 3:5-6

Fear not, baptism is not what saves a person. It doesn't matter where a person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. As long as it happens.

By the person's choice as a result of the convicting power of the Holy Spirit.

Here we have the great commission.

Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV)
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Go therefore and... teaching them to...

We are to be baptised but baptism by water is not what save you.

What is important is you are saved. You must be born again.

Have you confessed all your sins to God through Jesus?
Have you asked Jesus into your heart to be your personal saviour?
Have you said with your lips and meant in your heart these things and chosen to take up your cross daily and follow Jesus, as your Lord and Saviour?

Look again at what @Hekran said...

As Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake—for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, ‘Follow me and I will make you fish for people.’ And immediately they left their nets and followed him. As he went a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John, who were in their boat mending the nets. Immediately he called them; and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, and followed him.

They followed Jesus, they left everything to follow him, they were fishermen, Jesus made them fishers of men. They 'Followed Him'

Baptism came later for many, they followed Jesus, they accepted Jesus. That was what was important.

Accepting and proclaiming Jesus is your Lord and Saviour.

Hope this reassures you sister.

Jesus is Lord, to the Glory of God our Father.

In Jesus Name. Amen

Hi Brothers and Sisters,
I was wondering, what is the situation if someone is unable to attend church meetings and Worship?
Are Websites like this be enough to fulfill your promise to Our Lord to spend time with our family, as in attending church congregation, mixing and Worshiping with our Brothers and Sisters in person?
Thank you.
Hi Josephine,
This is an open post, and not necessarily directed to you although, it is related to your post. 1 Cor 14:33-38 gives a command and that command is punctuated with a warning that whoever ignores the command will be ignored by God. Many churches have ignored this command and now women are being ordained. The church of England , the Methodist church and others have ignored this command. If the word of God is true which I, for one, believe it is. Then these churches must be being ignored by God, otherwise the word of God cannot be relied upon. Therefore anyone who yolks themselves to these institutions must also be being ignored. Should we take that risk? I for one think not. I live in a remote part of Britain, the only churches in our town, have moved away from the Word, and the nearest town with an alternative church is at least 20 miles away and in the winter snow makes attending these churches impractical, if not impossible. So My family and I fellowship in our home where we stand on the Word. If one jot or tittle of the Word is changed, then that is licence for anything in the Word to be changed by any strong willed person who has a mind to, and the Word, then, cannot be relied upon. We need to be extremely careful on who we yolk ourselves to, after all, the god of this world is Satan and he can appear as an angel of light. We are living stones and wherever two or more of us gather the Lord is there with us. (the Church). We are told we are in the last days and believers will be persecuted. Soon, to meet in established churches is going to be dangerous. Look to the Middle east, Christians are being slaughtered. We need to start being wise. Blessings, Trevor.

I have surrendered my life to them with all my heart and signed my name. I believe the story of Jesus' life and resurrection. If I didn't I'd be a hypocrite because God has saved me over and over again with these psychic attacks by stopping it getting too much for me cope with and mostly no problems at all. So if I didn't believe what is written then I would be saying it wasn't God who has saved me what I call a 'Miracle' because that is what it was. I know all that categorically.
If you don't mind me asking;
What do you say at start of saying your prayers? Who do you address? And when taking to God when you're just doing your day to day stuff, how do address him, or do you just chat along like he's a friend?

Greetings Trevor

I have included below the NLT2 (I don't have the NLT) and NKJV for those two verses, although they have the same basic meaning, the same message and warning, the way both are translated is worth comparison, I think.

Hope you don't mind me adding this brother.

1 Corinthians 14:33-34 (NLT2)
33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.
34 Women should be silent during the church meetings. It is not proper for them to speak. They should be submissive, just as the law says.

1 Corinthians 14:33-34 (NKJV)
33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
34 Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.

Verse 34 is very similar where as verse 33 does use different wording.

>>> disorder NLT2 or confused NKJV

Both are translated from Greek Strong's Number 181
Greek Word: ἀκαταστασία
Transliteration: akatastasia
Phonetic Pronunciation:ak-at-as-tah-see'-ah
Root: from <G182>
Vine's Words: Confound, Confuse, Confusion, Tumult
English Words used in KJV:
- confusion 2
- tumult 2
- commotion 1

From instability, i.e. disorder :- commotion, confusion, tumult.

>>> all the meetings NLT2
or as in all the churches NKJV

Although meaning the same, as a congregation of saved souls, Church does appear to better state fit the translation, I think.

Both are translated from Greek Strong's Number 1577
Greek Word: ἐκκλησία
Transliteration: ekklēsia
Phonetic Pronunciation:ek-klay-see'-ah
Root: from a compound of <G1537> and a derivative of <G2564>
Vine's Words: Assembly, Congregation
English Words used in KJV:
- church 115
- assembly 3

From a compound of <G1537> (ek) and a derivative of <G2564> (kaleo); a calling out, i.e. (concretely) a popular meeting, especially a religious congregation (Jewish synagogue, or Christian community of members on earth or saints in heaven or both) :- assembly, church.

>>> God's Holy people NLT2 or Saints NKJV

Both are translated from Greek Strong's Number 40
Greek Word: ἅγιος
Transliteration: hagios
Phonetic Pronunciation: hag'-ee-os
Root: from hagos (an awful thing) [cf <G53>, <G2282>]
Vine's Words: Holiness, Holy, Holily, Saint
English Words used in KJV:
- holy 161
- saints 61
- Holy One 4

miscellaneous translations 3
Sacred; (physical pure, moral blameless or religious, ceremony consecrated) :- (most) holy (one, thing), saint.

Also to add to that, people use his name in vain which I find very offensive. That could possibly be another block in the way?

Dear sister, what is prayer but a conversation with God through Jesus.

There is time for prayer and time for prayer, life is a pray, prayer is an on button always ready.

What I am saying is, I have prayer time that is specific time. But then I have time for prayer which can be any where any time, I may see something I pray, I may hear something I pray, I may read something I pray, how can we not in this troubled world. But we must first repent, and be open to the Holy Spirit, who is the one that usually prompts the prayer.

Every prayer is different, not just in words, but in how what is seen, heard or read touches the heart. But all prayer is to the Father, through Jesus in Jesus Name.

I may start Father..., I may start Heavenly Father, I may start Heavenly and most loving Father, But then I may just say Lord and roll in from the heart. Always ending in Jesus Name.

I have a question for you, have you ever studied the Lord's Prayer.

Jesus told us how to pray, it is a model prayer, we don't have to follow it word for word but it is the most concise prayer I have ever read and said, should I be surprised, No! Jesus taught us to pray... (I have removed the verse numbers but added comments regarding His requests.

Matthew 6:9-15 (NKJV)
Jesus said.....

In this manner, therefore, pray:
Part - 1
Our Father in heaven,
- First Jesus point us to the Father
Hallowed be Your name.
- Then He tells us to Hallow His Name, His Name is Holy, everything in heaven is Holy. Holy, Holy, Holy.

Part - 2 the scene moves he tells us to pray
Your kingdom come.
- He is telling us to pray for God's Holy Kingdom, in Heaven, to come to us, That is amazing is it not.
Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
- Pray for God's Holy Kingdom to come to a sinful earth. That really would be Paradise regained and it will happen, we have to pray for it to happen now.

Part - 3 our feet are on the ground, our Lord is now telling us what we should be requesting on prayer
Give us this day our daily bread.
- What is our daily bread? It is our daily needs, no wants, but needs. Just enough for today, no less, no more.
- Our daily needs, daily bread is, food and drink, clothing, a roof over our heads, not a mansion a basic abode, a little money and the basic daily needs.

Part - 4 may be a surprise, asking forgiveness half way through the prayer, but should it be a surprise?
And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. - OR - Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us (Same meaning in translation)
- The priority Jesus tells us is: God first, look where He is, realise He is Holy, pray for his amazing Kingdom to come, the priorities are spot on.

Part - 5 is our request after being forgiven is to not fall into temptation again. This comes in two parts.
And do not lead us into temptation,
- A strange one some say, pray God doesn't lead us in to temptation, so much so the Roman Catholics have considered removing this from the Lord's Prayer.
- They have no authority to do so, but they claim the Pope has, another RC error.
- So what does this strange prayer request mean? An example would be, Jesus said to Peter, the devil has asked for you so that he can sift you.
- So God can lead us into temptation, and we must never remove or change anything in The Word, it is all there for a reason.
- Why would God allow it, I don't know, could it be if a saint has sinned and sinned and never asked for forgiveness? We cannot be sure. So it must remain
And do not lead us into temptation,
- Here comes the remaining part of this sentence
But deliver us from the evil one.
- This requires no explanation we all know that, but Jesus included it in this prayer to remind us to pray it
- Remember how this prayer started from Part 3, from 'on earth' 'Give us this Day...'
- Give us this day our daily bread, forgive us our daily debts, lead us not into temptation today, devil us from the evil one this day, the next 24 hours.

Part - 6 it is time to rejoice and give thanks
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
- Rejoicing to our God, for everything including His Kingdom, His Power and His Glory... for ever and for ever.
Amen. [So be it]

Prayer sister is a conversation with God, a conversation with our Lord, a conversation with Jesus, who is God.

Do not worry how to pray or what to pray, have a conversation with the Lord and let your heart be open to the Holy Spirit.

Just complete all prayers or the end of a group of prayer with... In Jesus Name Amen.

Hope this helps, I am sure others will add words to encourage you also.

Bless you

Jesus loves you, we do too.

Heavy stuff Brother -Paul. I commend you!

The Truth is in The Word sister

Translations vary even with best intentions to get the meaning across.

I am learning sister, I will be until my last breath.

God's Word is amazing, man cannot write a book that will last more than a hundred years or so, if you know what I mean, I say that before someone throws Shakespeare in for a laugh.

God's Word doesn't just stand up for every generation, it stands the test of time, in every language on this God created earth. The Truth is always in The Word.

Bless you

To spend my nights and days with him and give thanks for his presence, his loving support, advice and reassurance. To have Faith, to have Trust and that his Word is the Truth the Way and the Life. That he has a plan for us all and to be patient!:grinning:

Thank you Brother-Paul for your message.
I give thanks for your service to our Lord in helping me and many others.
It is amazing that we have all this love from our Lord! My cup brimmeth over! I am so lucky.
I hope that folk will think about the Christian views on the corona virus pandemic (pestilence). With any luck we'll have plenty more brothers and sisters to welcome here because of it. I am trying to spread the word, by saying to others, 'get your houses in order for the Lord'!
Thank you for your hug. Here is one in return from me  and from all our other 'brothers and sisters'.
I hope one day I may be of service too, to be able to help others the way you have helped me.
I hope we are all staying at home. And pray for protection. Yes.
Take special care of yourself also.
With so much love to you Brother-Paul, from your sister. :grinning:
