    is OSAS lethal poison?

    Dear readers,

    is "Once Saved Always Saved" lethal poison to your soul?

    i know it is because it turns grace into a license for immorality and makes you feel secured even whilst dwelling in willful sin which will always damn you to hell if you do not repent of it.

    OSAS is very lethal poison to a christian!

    And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: Genesis 3:4

    That is exactly what the devil is doing with his OSAS lie telling you it's ok to lie or to be in adultery do not worry relax en enjoy your life do not worry because: Ye shall not surely die.

    Here is some Scripture to refute the wicked OSAS lie:

    1 Corinthians 1:2
    Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

    Written to unbelievers? No to everyone that calls upon the Name of Jesus Christ to them that ARE sanctified in Christ Jesus.

    1 Corinthians 3:17
    If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

    1 Corinthians 6:9-10
    Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

    1 Corinthians 9:27

    What a frightening concept. Even the great apostle Paul knew of the possibility of falling away!

    The possibility of falling from grace exists, and mere human good works are dangerous if trusted upon for righteousness.

    Philippians 2:12
    Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

    Does that sound like don't worry the everything is ok message OSAS gives?

    Colossians 1:23
    If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

    Does that imply OSAS? If ye continue in the faith?

    1 Timothy 4:1
    Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

    How can you "depart" from the faith, if you're not "in the faith" to begin with right?

    Hebrews 3:6
    But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

    Another IF statement, showing the necessity of overcoming, perservering faith in the Christian life.

    Hebrews 3:12-13
    Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

    He said He would never leave or forsake us, but we are Given free will and must make the decision whom we will serve and stay faithful.

    Hebrews 3:14
    For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

    Hebrews 4:1
    Let us therefore fear, lest, a promisebeing left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

    James 5:19-20
    Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

    Written to the "brethren" who have "erred from the truth" (how can you err from the truth if you were not previously established in the truth?). Such a soul is in danger of death!

    And finally:

    2 Peter 3:17-18
    Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

    Luke 9:25
    For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

    Matthew 5:13

    Revelations 3:3-5

    He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.


    This has got nothing to do with works salvation because we are saved by grace through faith!

    Sin always has a consequence for the wages of sin is always death that is why we need forgiveness of sin and hence the repentance.

    OSAS implies you are saved regardless of wickedness and that you can live a life just like a heathen man and still make it into the Kingdom of God even while in adultery and murder.

    This has got nothing to do with works salvation because we are saved by grace through faith!
    I thought we were saved by Jesus's finished work on the cross and the proof is his resurrection.
    I thought he defeated Satan ,sin,sickness and death.
    I thought that we received his grace to overcome everything that is not of him.
    I thought God was able to do anything
    I thought God's will would be done.
    I thought it is God's will that none should perish.
    I thought we were supposed pray for the lost.
    I thought we were supposed to pray and believe we have received what we pray for.
    Friends are for comfort and protection,
    enemies are for learning perfection

    The subject of OSAS has been debated for a very long time recently, at least as long as I have been with TJ.

    I think to say it's lethal Biblical position leaves one with the impression that if we disagree, and do believe the Bible teaches OSAS that we are spreading deadly spiritual information. My suggestion is to dialogue with the subject that this is a debatable subject omong believers, but not one that disfellowships brothers and sisters in the LORD.

    I personally believe that faith that falters has a flaw in it from the first. We are given the Holy Spirit as deposit that our salvation is secure. However I do fully understand where you are coming from, and will not down grade your belief that salvation can be lost. Blessings.

    salvation as described in the bible comes from God and not from us.
    it requires faith however we must believe Jesus is savior.

    then pretty much every other idea on how to make your self saved or retain your salvation, has nothing to do with Faith.

    so when bible says we are saved by faith OSAS makes much sense.

    Our self effort on the other hand doesn't require faith at all. its just more of working towards good conscience according to your beliefs and doctrines.
    but it's not faith simply in God but trust in your theology.

    most people who disagree with OSAS usually believe in works based salvation. or in effort to save your self in way or another.

    i and many others who also reject osas, strongly oppose any works salvation and legalism too, i for one totally reject it and cast it from me as very evil. Legalism is a wicked thing it is false and so is osas.

    We are saved by grace through faith!

    But let us never ever turn our back on Him! or to wilfully sin against The Almighty GOD The HOLY ONE of Israel! God forbid!

    It may look like legalism to some, but the word of God actually encourages to make every effort... (which is not works salvation but righteous fear and reverence toward GOD and respect to carefully hold on to the True faith once delivered unto the saints)

    1 Thessalonians 4:1-7

    Sanctification is Gods work in the believer filled with the Holy Ghost, God does the work it is all His glory not ours, we have nothing to boast about. We must: abstain from fornication and know how to possess our vessel in sanctification and honour. Because God Has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. If we go and keep resisting Gods Work in us by the Holy Ghost, which is to transform us more and more in the image of His Son The Lord Jesus Christ in Holiness that is not good, especially not when we go about and go against God and sin or turn our back on Him by disobedience or even rebellion. We must always be obedient: For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

    Osas looks like it is the easy way out at this moment but in the end it is all darkness it looks and sounds good now, but it is absolute dangerous and lethal poison to your soul.

    Osas does not help to make you more holy it does the opposite it makes grace to be turned into a license for immorality and as you know the wages of sin is always death.

    A christian simply cannot live a ungodly lifestyle which is covertly promoted by this wicked Osas lie because let's say if you commit adultery that makes you an adulterer and you know that no adulterer will inherit the Kingdom of God. Osas makes you to relax, to sit back and it get's the fight and alertness and striving out of you and that is exactly what satan wants to do.

    It is just like satan said in the garden while he was tempting Eve: And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die Genesis 3:4 But God said: thou shalt surely die. And that is basically the main message of OSAS: that you can never die spiritually even if you outright murder someone and that is in opposition to The Holy Bible, The word of God.

    since Jesus came to save the lost we must accept Him. But bible doesnt give us any standard how we should be still saved.
    even if we don't follow God's word or do God's will we are not condemmed because Jesus came to save us.
    if Jesus came to save us why would he then give us something so we would be judged?

    salvation seems to be more about believing and accepting Jesus. than doing things or being something.
