    Different Religions

Hi I'm Strages, I'm new here. I was wondering why there are so many different religions (especially within Christianity), and how one can tell which is the true religion. I'm a Catholic myself, so I believe that Catholicism has the fullness of truth. Mainly I'd like to know what other Christians believe. Thanks!

    Welcome aboard Strages,
I used to be Catholic myself. You have come to right place here at TJ if you truly seek with an open mind to know the difference between what you've been told verses what is in the Bible. I've phrased it this way, because, not everything that you've been told has its origin in scripture. There are many who here who will help, with understanding, but it’s really up to you to pray and read the Bible to know God's truth.

P.S. Plenty of folks here will answer your questions. Just be prepared that the answers you receive might not be what you would expect them to be. They also will not be given with the intent to hurt, insult, though they may seem that way at the time. Praying for you.

I want to share with you something that I posted in my social network profile, in the time when everybody was greeting her 'happy birthday' and thanking her like a god.

    FYI:
Mary doesn't have any powers or so, infact she even ask for Jesus to do miracles. (John 2:1-5)

Why does anyone need to ask her to pray for them?? when you can do it yourself. Christianity is not like politics that in order to be close to Jesus you need to be close to the other people you think was close to Him.

Jesus doesn't need any middleman, He is the only middleman.

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -John 14:6

This is always how i see catholicism if u ask me.

But I want you to know that I am glad to see you interested to be here at talkJesus and to know Jesus, it'll be really helpful for you to read on threads like "Seeking Jesus" and "Bible Study" area.

Most importantly, it is not about religion, its about relationship... with Jesus, a steady and open communiction with him wherein you talk to him and listen to him by reading the Word.
You will came to know Jesus the way we did and still does, pray, read the Bible.

You're always welcome to view my testimony.

Praying, reading, and studying the NT Gospels really helped get an opening to understanding Jesus. Writing down any questions you might have will also help. God understands that we will have questions. He even knows before we do what they might be

Through Jesus as our Lord and Savior who died on the Cross and rose again on the third day, through grace and faith that this is true, in our repentance we will have an eternity to grow in knowing both God and Jesus.

John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Gives me goose bumps just contemplating this! Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!

You've come to a site here at TJ, where you will find many who will be willing to help you. All you have to do is ask

The body of JESUS CHRIST , the true unseen church will come out of many religions! Where we go too church is not so important! We have a Relationship, One on One with our Father god Thur our LORD JESUS CHRIST forever more ! We Hear him and follow Him only! He alone is the truth ,the Light ,the way!
    I seek to please Him!

Joh_10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Nothing we see on earth is perfect! there are No perfect churches on earth .No perfect people !
Everything we see is imperfect and will be gone one day!

2Co_4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2Co_5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Everything will be made a new !He does not use old stuff to make New stuff!
He creates where nothing was ! He is creator !
. Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

oh, i wasn't taught that it was because of her powers that i should pray to her (or the saints). it was because they are without sin, and so i should ask them to pray for me, just like i would ask you to pray for me. (since they no longer have sin) isn't this right?

wait a minute, so it doesn't matter whether i know Jesus or not? in fact, is it better for me to not be a religion, so that i can get the fullness of the variety of faiths?

You will know you are saved when you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that there is only one Saviour, only One who has paid the price for your Redemption and that Saviour is the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Scripture says: “If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Rom. 10:9-10).

Your Salvation is a gift from God. You simply have to believe and accept that the Lord Jesus Christ died on Calvary to pay the price for your redemption.

The Scripture says: “For by Grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God; not of works lest any man should boast" (Eph. 2:8-9)

Most Catholics are depending on there faith in the "Catholic church" and the Pope and not in Jesus Christ.....ALONE.
