and i believe we need to be about our father's business.
and be prepared.

i know there are many scripture based reasons that the end of the world is coming soon but some of those have been around for years and only GOD knows when the end of times will come.

I am not sure but there is alot of sign that make me believe that it is coming soon. All people did not get to know jesus love so I believe that there is still time....

God is the only one who know when it is coming.

One of my spiritual leaders years ago (when I just got saved), told me something interesting: every time the church moves in God's direction (new revival etc), the devil counteracts it. One such example is the movies being made. Lately, whenever we go into a Christian bookshop, we find more films made about the Bible, and especially the last year, about the end of days. Guess what, Hollywood is copying the theme of the end of days, just with a false twist, giving people false hope that the end of days isn't really the end (in other words that mankind will rebuild the world again on their own power)...I find it very interesting. And it is one of the many signs for me, that we are in the end times. How far in it, I can't say. When everything will end, I can't say.

By the way, can anyone tell me whether the Bible ever state a certain date for the end of the world as we know it (i.e. 21/12/2012, like almost all heathen believes state)
I'm just asking our of curiosity...I really don't want to know the exact date :)

Hi Ria: Welcome I see you are new. I love your replies, especially about the counterfeit - most don't either talk about it, or really know about it. When I first found out that that satan could counterfeit the gifts of the spirit etc, I admit I was pretty upset. I talked with God a long time about. Anyhow, you are correct, and the counterfeit will increase more and more as time gets closer. As to answer your question does the Bible say when the end will come? Yes it does. See this scripture:

Mark 13:32-33
32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. So, nope no man knows that exact date and the Bible does not give one. However, if we read Matthew 24 and various other scriptures we can clearly see these scriptures coming to pass quickly.

Those folks are people who've built their spiritual house on sand (see Mt 7:26); the winds of false teaching blow against it and it collapses. Welcome to TalkJesus, Ria, and thank you for this post. This information needs to be spread far and wide.
