I have recently given eight people a beatitude each to comment on. Every single one said the one that I had given them was the most challenging....
I don't know about anyone else, but personally, the hardest one for me to accept is..."Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."
I suppose my spiritual definition of the word 'meek' could be off center. Meek does not necessarily mean allowing people to walk all over you and be a doormat.
Jesus said them....so the beatitudes are all true. Oh, that I would learn them greatly and apply them to my life.
I have had a lot of sadness in my life and sometimes it feels so overwhelming to get through it all. I know that I am now being comforted by Jesus and the love of my Father and the Holy Spirit. I know they are with me, but sometimes I fear that I would be "lost" again.
I pray that I do good works for God. Good post!
This is a toughie. I guess for me it would probably be: blessed are the pure at heart, because sometimes I question my motives. I would like to think my motives are always pure, but in all honesty, I'm just not sure. However, I do feel that I have an altruistic nature.
As Spreadtheword said, I dunno. Great thread though!
Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
I think fo me it is "Blessed are the meek....." because I still struggle a lot with pride. Pride and meekness are like oil and water; they don't blend together at all.

I want to be a coin in God's pocket that He can spend any way He wishes.
Here one can not say this is hardest and other is easiest. These are fruits of the spirit of Jesus in us and so when Jesus is there every words will become living flesh in us and throug us. Since they are all interconnected you can't seperate one from another.
I think I have trouble understanding the initial question, as far as acceptance, it's not hard for me to accept these things, they are true, they are like the Law Jesus gave, I think with every word that Jesus spoke, He changed the world in mere seconds, He is God. If He says something, it happens.
I voted none of them, it's not hard for me to accept these beattitudes, it's something I have to accept.
God bless you
Much love
