Grace

I hid my face from you,
Fearing what you might do.
You know where I’ve been,
You’ve seen what I’ve seen.

The shame I once held,
Now dignities dwelled.
The guilt that I faced,
Mercy is replaced.

Though sin wars in me,
I know that I am free.
Sufficient you are,
The Bright Morning Star.

When all seemed lost,
You bore the cost,
Rescued my soul,
You had a goal.

The least of these you said,
Will be raised from the dead.
My brother in arms,
Held no qualms.

Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, the heavens rejoice,
In one accord, in one voice.
The Master has won, the enemy’s defeated,
Death is no more, it is completed.

Arise, Oh Noble born in Blood,
One bloodline survived it’s understood.
Rest yourself, have time to wait;
Eternity beckons, it’s never too late.

Each day brings the enemies gate,
Fuel for fire not to hate.
A hero born through innocent lost,
Purity bought at a cost.

My days are the same, like no other,
Why would I think you would bother.
Each dawn arises fresh with trust,
Eager to brave this earthly crust.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, the time is now,
A savior awaits, don’t disavow.
He restored to us the gift of life,
Free from guilt, free from strife.

Hallelujah, hallelujah to live is free,
No bondage, no shame, we bow the knee.
Truth is, what is, it’s cherished the most.
Father, Son & Holy Ghost.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, you gave the Word,
Everything else seems absurd.
You gave life, you gave order,
I have one live, yours to wonder.

Frail

As I close my eyes,
And hear those lies.
I’m shackled in the wood,
Break free if I could.

Placed my burdens at your feet,
Cut the chaff from the wheat.
Where are you my friend,
I stay true to the end.

When my days seem bleak,
And I feel quite weak,
I look to You,
To get me through.

When my joy is gone,
And my spirit is wrong,
An Earthen vessel I am,
To take joy in the Lamb.

I’m humbled again,
And take hold of my chain.
I’m chained to your side,
Wash away my Pride.

I can’t go it alone,
So I come to your throne.
You show me the way,
Strength for the day.

This poem in no way glorifies the devil. It is actually a reminder of the insidious methods and thought patterns of him, why he is our enemy and we why we are to be on our guard until our Lord returns.

Foe

I was there before the fall,
Made you think you could have it all.
Guiltless life, innocence mine,
To have my way, was quite sublime.

Seduction is, my tool of choice,
Makes you think, you can rejoice.
I’ll have my way, to think you’re free,
Look at him from Galilee.

I have my book and followers too,
Elohim can’t touch you.
Pray all you want, I have my ears,
You’ll be mine for a thousand years.

He can’t hear you, or hear your cries,
For I am the Father of Lies,
Just when you believe it’s all over,
Remember my joy from The Passover.

I have free reign on this earthly crust,
All your works turn to dust.
Behind the scenes I lay my trap,
To break and bend and watch you snap.

My fruit is death in all its glory,
I am final, just read the story.
I’ll make you weep and gnash your teeth,
And take you all from underneath.

When all seems lost and full of dire,
Just come join me in the fire.
“I’m no fool” though you may say,
Just give it time, I’ll have my way.

Don’t look to Him to give you life,
He is no bride, He is no wife.
The Church is mine, to do as I please,
‘Do as thou wilt’ to appease.

I am Idol, divinities gone,
Why do I seem so wrong.
Bow to me and bend your head,
For I am King of the living dead.

If you look no further for the truth,
If you look no more for absolutes,
You’ll find me on every street corner,
Judas was my favourite mourner.

Lucifer is my real name,
I fell from grace, that’s my fame.
Come join me now, and my crew,
Narrows the gate you go through.

Jesus is, enemy divine,
I want it all, I want what’s mine.
Beg, borrow, cheat or steal,
I’ll make you think I’m not real.

With shield and armor though art my foe,
Righteousness stands toe to toe.
The Word is true bound in red,
He is the One that I dread.

Kin

I know I’m not an Emo,
But your name is carved upon my heart.
I feel your Spirit move me,
And don’t want to ever be apart.

I want to make you happy,
As a kid is with their dad.
And though I sometimes hurt you,

Your Name

Your name, resounds in my ears,
It allays my woes, allays my fears.

Your name, is sung in Heaven to hear;
Worthy is the Lamb, for all who draw near.

Your name, is a beacon in the night,
For all who are blind might have sight.

Your name, went upon the cross,
It fills my void, finds me when I’m lost.

Your name, is above my own,
I lay it bare before your Throne.

Your name, is where I place trust,
For a broken mind filled with rust.

Your name, gives strength to move on,
Believing the battles already won.

Personal Psalm v1.1

If I were a fly upon the wall
Would you want me there at all?
Your private thoughts & private lives,
All be open to Holy eyes.

Spirit of Truth come set me free,
By the One who came from Galilee.
Don’t want no whistles or even bells,
Just reprieve from my personal hell.

No need to mourn for innocence lost,
Jesus took it all on the cross.
Lay on Him your woes & cares,
We are in Him - Oh noble heirs.

My pain it cuts me; I feel it deep,
Restless feelings makes me weep.
A single teardrop in a river-less bed,
Remove the sackcloth from my head.

I shout, I pray & beat my chest,
Why oh! why Lord, can I not rest?
I see the sadness in your eyes,
Bondage hurts, it binds & ties.

I saw your hands hide your face,
Remember child, we live by grace.
Don’t fall away, don’t go asunder;
God’s Word is bigger than thunder

I fell today like I did before,
Didn’t want to get up to fight no more.
I sat on my mat and raised my hand,
..Won’t someone please understand?

Joy beckoned me, she called my name,
Get off of your mat, are you really lame?
For in Christ there is no sin or guile,
Arise and go with Him that extra mile.

Come Oh Lord, I seek your face,
And so to You I plead my case.
I catch the breeze of my Lords breath,
I feel as strong as a ploughman’s sheth.

As a man thinketh, so is he,
If it is to be it’s up to me.
No man’s an island, for he will fail,
Hold fast hold true, let wisdom prevail.
