    Saying hi all

Glad to pitch my tent by this oasis where the spiritually thirsty can drink and the hungry be fed. I have just celebrated my 75th birthday but am as hungry for the word as ever especially in the realm of Eschatology seeing we are living in the end of the end times. Just started to read a book titled "The keys of Time" by Derek Walker that was gifted to me last week. I think the author appears quite regularly on Revelation TV and is an authority on prophecy. The gist of the book is that God is working to a predetermined plan that was shown in type in the Genesis account of creation, namely that His purpose is to fulfill that plan in six days [a day being as a thousand years in His sight] Not the first time I have heard this viewpoint but -counting from the death and resurrection of Christ- rather than His birth; those six days could well culminate around 2033 which is about 2000 years from His death. THAT'S NOT TO JUMP ON THE BAND WAGON OF DATE SETTING - too prudent to fall into that trap but judging by the chaotic state of things world wide, it seems to me the stage is fast taking shape for the appearance of the character Paul speaks of in 2Thess 2. If one does not already exist perhaps this could form the springboard for a thread which searches the scriptures for truths yet to be revealed by the Holy Spirit -after all- like the Bereans we must search the book of books so as not to be guilty like the Pharisees were who Jesus upbraided for not being able to discern the times. In Christ, In God, In Hope. HEBRON.

Many thanks for the welcome, as I indicated, if there are any members keen on sharing their understanding of "End Times Events" as predicted in bible prophecy, I sure would be happy to pitch in with my penny worth. There are of course many facets of end times signs that are clear to see by discerning believers not least the financial instability rocking many countries which could well be paving the way for the emergence on to the world scene of the Antichrist. Though we are never told to look for HIM rather to look for the Saviour from heaven who will change out vile bodies into His glorious likeness. H A L L E L U J A H Hebron

Hebron. I also welcome you to TalkJesus and I join you in your anguish over the violence that has erupted in the last few years. Just last week a deranged man in Louisville, Kentucky shot and killed his ex-wife, their eight year old daughter, and himself; godless living is producing the prophesied results.

...thanks for the welcome friends.........a little late but better late than never. Just this week I received an email concerning the length of time the lounge has been live which jogged my memory about having joined the company of believers who frequent this forum. With so many chores to cope with - keeping our church web site up to date, sermon preparation, preaching, leading meetings & visiting, something has to get neglected but DV I may get to add my penneth to some of the threads currently live on the lounge. As I mentioned at the outset, I feel compelled to search Bible prophecy continually comparing present trends with what the Holy Spirit inspired men write thousands of years ago. I read a thread this week and noted that one member in particular [a new believer] is anxious to learn about last days signs but was somewhat taken aback by some of the interpretations expressed concerning certain verses. The golden rule therefore for everyone is to personally emulate the Bereans who searched the scriptures daily because -especially in these last days - the truth is being diluted and even prostituted so [bearing in mind what Jesus warned His disciples about concerning these end times] we must be on our guard against DECEPTION in the most subtle ways. One such troublesome trend I read about that is growing in the USA especially is something called Chrislam. Two faiths pledging to work together toward "The Common Good" is the claim but my Bible commands me not to have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness [2Cor 6:14-18] so I am bewildered as to why so many churches are endorsing this move. I don't wish to use this forum as a platform to name individuals but think it prudent to highlight the fact that no less than 70 churches are listed on a web site which I will not state in case it breaks the lounge rules but if anyone finds it hard to believe that so many main line churches are compromising their faith just send me a PM and I will point you to the link. A certain pastor Ian McPherson [now deceased] in a book entitled "News of the world to come" wrote; "We are not looking for the signs of the times rather we are IN the time of the signs already." Guess it emphasizes the warning to "Look up for our redemption draws nigh. Shalom Hebron.

    Welcome aboard Hebron!
There is a dear brother in Christ Jesus who goes by @brakelite. who is also a joy to read on the subject of Eschatology. You might do well to seek him out. I've used the "@" and name so he might seek this posting and know of your interest.

All aspects of His Word are of interest to me, for it is the entirety of His Word that was provided to us. However, for myself, I'm more a reader then a contributor on the subject of Eschatology.

Look forward to your future postings.

Once again be welcome brother to TJ.

.now that's what we here in the UK call a "Cop Out", only reading what others have to offer but not adding your penneth, chances are you may have some salient contribution to make seeing everyone has something of interest to say. Not that the forum wants human opinions rather gems of truth revealed by the Holy Spirit. I recently read a book byDerek Walker entitled " Keys of Time" in which he alluded to Hosea 5:1-2 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
He offers the premise (not a prediction) that [based on a day being a thousand years] two days from 30 -33 AD brings us to 2030/3; a rather solemn prospect for the unsaved but delight for the true believer especially in light of the current signs indicating the soon emergence of a New World Order and cashless society. Regards Hebron.
ps seeing I am new here my attempt to include the URL for Derek Walker's church web site was rejected so if anyone is interested in reading his on-line articles type oxfordbiblechurch dot co dot uk into your browser replacing the words dot with a (.)

    Brother Hebron,

Actually, all url's unless they happen to be internal (within the confines of TJ) have to be approved through the Administrator (Chad).
Doesn't hurt to ask him. He just might approve it.

I'll have to search out the Mr. Walker's church and the book. If I get it, and read it :) I'll let you know. Might take me a year or two, but time is on our side. Whether He calls us home today, tomorrow or the next day. I count that thought a great joy!

I do like how you phrased information inregards to the forum! "Gems as revealed by the Holy Spirit!" One cannot get better then that! One never knows when the Holy Spirit may decide to add a revelation to share with others! At least once I stop bouncing around the house (my wife has some fun and stays out of the way when that happens)!

I find this to be an inappropriate comment. I believe that such statements should be made at the prompting of the Spirit, not out of pressure from others.
