    Seeking Truth

    Hi

I love to discuss the metaphysics of christianity and jesus. I am seeking to know the truth. I understand that what one christian says is totally different than the next christian. There is much to learn. Thanks for being a part of my journey.

We can understand some of Jesus, but if we could understand everything about Him, then that would be putting Jesus and God in a box. They are much too big to be understood by our feeble minds. To start understanding more of the character of Jesus and the heart of the Gospel, read the story of Jesus' life in the first four books of the New Testament and dive deeper into a relationship with Jesus. To know more about someone, we must have a relationship with them.

Hi here is what I have learned for over 40 years of being a Christian and it was the holy spirit that showed me most of it, and the truth of what I learned from many sources.
Jesus is God, the same God who created everything. God is a trinity and so is man a trinity, body soul and spirit. The earth was created in six
literal 24 hour days. he said a day with the lord is as a thousand years to show we would have about 6000 years of history before Jesus would return. God rested on the seventh day to show a thousand year long rest and kingdom of Christ on earth. The Rapture comes before the seven years of tribulation and can come at any moment. The rapture is triggered by the the last repenting soul to accept Jesus as lord and saviour. On earth the tribulation now takes place while Christians who had died and those who were alive that were gathered up are in heaven during this time. We then return with Jesus to earth after the tribulation because we are with him where ever he is now. So after the tribulation Jesus returns to earth to set up his thousand year kingdom on earth. there is a holy city in space that is where we Christians get to live and each of us has a mansion built in there.
After the thousand years there will be a new heaven and a new earth. this is just a panoramic view of everything but this the basic sequence. But Most important thing to know is Jesus is God. If you fail to see that you will be lost. I invite anyone to prove me wrong because you will prove me right. Only a spirit filled Christian can see this fact and the bible is clear on that. But God will not turn anyone away from the truth but you must look for the truth.

If you can, please use capital J when you write His name; it's a matter of respect and I'm also not quite sure what you mean by discussing the "metaphysics of christianity and jesus." If you just love to debate, some people do, then there's not much to say BUT if you're really seeking the truth, your search should begin with the Bible, the Holy, written words of God Himself.

Everything you need to know about the
Triune God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) who has ALL the attributes of the Father because He was and is God in human form and who was given ALL power on earth and in Heaven and God the Holy Spirit is in the Bible.

Please start by reading your Bible, you'll begin to find the answers to your questions. If you're not yet born again, confess your sins, repent of them and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Saviour. The Holy Spirit who IS the Spirit of Truth and Knowledge, will guide you into all truth regarding the Father. God doesn't want us to be lead astray and His spirit takes this seriously and does His job so marvelously well that He makes sure to lead us on that path so we won't be deceived, unless of course we resist Him and won't be lead.

Robert44, you're absolutely correct about Jesus not coming back until the last repenting soul has been re-united and is at peace with God. Jesus Himself said in John 10: 29 and John 17: 12 as He prayed to the Father that not a single person who was saved and entrusted to Him by God will be lost.

Since Jesus doesn't and cannot lie, we need to know those words are true. So when I hear people praying and asking Jesus to come back, I say to myself, "what a selfish and useless prayer that doesn't even align with God's will" Jesus will not come back one minute, one second until the very last soul has been gathered unto Himself.

Everything you've written above can be found in the Bible but I don't know the context. The best way to test if something is true is by the words of God himself. I don't know anything about the tribulation and have not read "Revelations" because I'm not spiritually there yet. It's not a book to be read lightly and I truly believe that Jesus has to be right there alongside you as you read that powerful book for you to truly understand what He's saying in those verses.

I also know that if God or Jesus didn't say it, whatever the "it" is, it's a lie from the pit of hell and a way for the enemy of our soul, the one who hates God and us to lure us away from the One who loves us beyond comprehension.

Truth, a.k.a., the Good News of Jesus Christ, is personally knowable in Christ's perpetually absolute power over death and life. The unsung FULL STORY on truth answers all the Five Ws (and one H).

The diacritical marks of "the blood and the water", pouring out from the pierced side of Jesus and signifying "the kind of death he suffered" --verifiably Spirit-active, perfect and diacritical-- produce eternal life on the spot leaving the onlooker completely free of the risk of dying in his/her sins. That is why it is written, "People will look at him whom they pierced." (John 19: 30-37)

Without Jesus' perpetual self-revelation as eternal life, in his death on the cross, no one could ever be "born spiritually of the Spirit", personally know him and grow in his grace and knowledge. That, in brief, is story of the 4th Gospel.

    (John 3: 1-21 ff.)

Jesus Christ, who is "the same yesterday, today and forever", reveals himself independently of the Bible. He did it before and can do it again as he, indeed, did with me. Praise the Lord!
