I dont know who of you have ever heard about the rock band Roxette but as 'n Christian I am compleatly against that music because it is against my Christian faith. There is facts why there music is daingerous that I would like to share with you.

There songs The look and Dress for sucsess goes about ugly stuff like hair styles and as a Christian I am compleatly against that music.

There is so many wrong music in this world that people listen to. Why do people listen to that. It is wrong and it is against my Christianity.

I dont like there music and as 'n Christian I would like to warn people against the dainger of this music.

There song Daingerous goes about a woman who someone like but all the time he know she is daingerous.

There is so many nice Gospel music that people could rather listen to and I like Gospel music. I like what I believe is write and hate what I believe is wrong.

There is so many heavy metal bands that Christians should not listen to because of satanism.

I like all the good Gospel music that goes about what Jesus did for us
and I listen to Gospel music but Roxette's music is daingerous stay very far away from there music.

I dont like there music at all because of the ugly stuff that there songs goes about.

As a Christian I am compleatly against there music I would like to tell people who listen to there music why I believe it is daingerous.

If you want to know why I said this music is wrong ask the Holy Spirit
and he will show you why you must stay away.

That would depend on the message of the individual song. Even though it is not my style if it is a christian message I see no problem, other than that any style of music that has a bad message should be rejected. For example, I do not like most rap but have heard some rap with a powerful message for Christ.
But reject a whole style of music, that is the same reaction folks had to the church organ when it was introduced often calling it the "devil's bagpipes".

You are write. Many heavy metal and rap music is the devil's music. I like Gospel music but I never listen music if God said stay away.

It sounds to me like you have thrown out the baby with the bath water here! lol. I understand that there are songs from many different genres that have terrible messages but that doesn't mean that particular genre is bad because of some songs. There are many different genres today of Christian songs with good Christ centered messages. However not all "Christian" labeled music is scriptural. One cannot simply diregard all "Christian" music as no good because of some songs, in whatever genre they may be, which are not scriptural. Just the same as that one cannot throw out the whole genre of "Heavy Metal", "Pop", "Rock" or any other genre because of some bad or wrong songs. I do agree that it is about the message that is going forth not how, or in what genre it is delivered. People definitely have opinions and preferrences as to what kind of music they like but that doesn't mean the rest of it is all bad. Be blessed.

I am so glad you are learning to stand up for Christ when it comes to music. I too have learned that there are even some "christian songs" that do not bring glory to God and I am still learning to discern and see what should be thrown out and what not.

Imagine this for a moment, a teenager is very heavy into 'heavy metal' and hears the good news, believes they are a sinner in need of saving and repents and accepts Jesus as their Lord and savior. But they totally dont like the sound of christian music. So they do give up the worldy and satanic heavy metal but begin to listen to some christian 'metal like bands and music'......would you tell them how wrong it is and make them feel bad for listening to that or would you pat them on the back and say wow, you are making real progress with the Lord?

And i know that as they grow with the Lord their taste for music WILL change cause God will give them new desires.

There is a dvd out called "Sold their souls for rock an roll". i think its about 2 an half hours long. Please look for it an get it. This dvd is about the stanic messages and stuff the media (TV, newspapers, magazines, radio etc) ALREADY KNOWS about concerning the people in various bands and their music but has kept it from the public. It will teach you very very much about music and you will have even more solid information to share with those who love 'wordly music".

and p.s - personally i dont think there are any hairstyles that scare the Lord, heehee......look deeper into people, especially the ones with the wierdest hairstyles, i think they jus expressing a deep need for acceptance, remember God loved us while we were still sinners and once we accept Him, we go through a process of change to become more and more like Him in every area of our lives, including our hairstyles, heehee LOL....

"She's got the look" was a europop hit when I was a teenager - that was a long time ago. Even then it was an embarrassment.

If Roxette is a threat to the Kingdom of God, it must be quite a small one, because nobody is listening to them anyone.

it's a matter of the heart, sometimes consideration who is in the listening area (do not cause your brother/sister to stumble 1 Cor 8:9)
but as far as style of music - isn't God the Creator and owner of all things?

You can't just pick out a type of music and say it is wrong. It depends on the individual song; an entire style of music cannot be just plain "wrong."

I am a huge heavy metal fan, and a Christian. I'm not talking about that screamo crap you sometimes here; I mean REAL heavy metal (Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest.) Are some of their songs a bit dark? Sure. Satanic? Not so much. I agree that many so-called "heavy metal" bands are wrong, and some truly are Satanic. But that doesnt mean every heavy metal band is like that.

Educate yourself before making a stereotype, please.

Really satanic, isn't it? I love this song. And there are lots of songs like this, and lots of groups like this. A music genre can't be bad, only lyrics can.
