- 2 years ago God delivered me from the addiction of alcohol. I picked up again. I was surrounded by ignorance and hate that the only thing I knew to do was drink. Sometime after I had made a decision to get help and learn about this disease. I have been sober since. I thank God through Christ that I am who I am. He loves me and I have always known that.
