As far as family is concerned, Christmas has not been fun for a very long time. My wife and I have had issues for many years. I want to deal with them, but she doesn't. In her family, you don't talk about personal problems. She wants sexual intimacy, but she won't allow intimacy in other areas.
I'm praying for breakthrough in this situation so we can have genuine intimacy in our marriage. The holidays are especially tough for me. I love Jesus with all my heart and love serving Him,...

| It disturbs me that Christians sometimes try to see how close they can get to the edge of the World, instead of trying to get as close to Father and holiness as they can. Because it is there, in that fellowship, that we find the contentment and satisfaction that the world can't give. I used to be so shallow, and sooooo lost! I just went with the flow, and almost drowned. I am so glad I found Father and He brought me out of where I was headed. |
I've got good stuff and not-so-good stuff to write about today.
Good stuff: Thanksgiving Day was looking pretty glum for us what with our son no longer with us and us not being welcome in our daughter's life. But, God got involved and changed things. My wife met a new lady friend the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and, in the process of conversation, told this lady that we probably wouldn't be doing anything special on Thanksagiving other than going to dinner by ourselves.

This past weekend was incredible for me. I made what is known as an "Emmaus Walk". An "Emmaus Walk", based on the Scripture account in Luke 24, is a 72 hour event that challenges one to go deeper into relationship with Jesus than he/she has ever experienced.
To describe in detail what an Emmaus Walk is like is impossible. Its like trying to describe the taste of a banana; you cannot describe it, you have to experience it.

So much has happened since my last journal entry and most of it has been very trying. In my last entry, I spoke of David's liver getting progressively worse. I had been praying for David's salvation and physical healing since August of 2005.
God chose not to heal him on this side of eternity, but I had the honor and thrill of leading him to the Lord approximately half an hour before he died.
I miss David, but there's no way that I'm going to be angry at God for taking...
