Hands On Originals, a company in Lexington, Ky., is being investigated by the commission after a local "gay" and lesbian group complained the company refused a request to print T-shirts for a local homosexual festival.

The company, which prominently says on its home page it is "Christian Outfitters," and states a "right of refusal," sells and produces a variety of custom products including clothing, coffee mugs, memory sticks and other items.

The Gay and Lesbian Services Organization wanted the company to print T-shirts for the Lexington Pride Festival and submitted a request without letting the company know the message to be printed.

Ultimately, the price from Hands On Online was the lowest bid. However, once the company became aware of what the shirts were going to be used for, officials declined the work, explaining creating and publicizing messages that promoted homosexuality were incompatible with the Christian values, on which the company was based, that viewed homosexuality as a sin.

In an attempt to accommodate the group, Hands on Online offered to locate another printer who would do the shirts for the same price by the deadline for the order.

The homosexuals refused and instead filed a complaint with the Lexington-Fayette Commission, alleging discrimination based on their sexual orientation.

Following the complaint, the Lexington school district announced it was temporarily halting purchases from the company until the issue is resolved.

Jay Blanton, a spokesman for the University of Kentucky which has paid about $200,000 to the company since 2011, said he also is reconsidering their relationship with the company.

Jesus said to take up our cross and follow Him. The cost to follow Jesus means different things to us all. Let me share a cross that a small church suffered.

In 1993 in on the outskirts of Buckeye Arizona, there was a small church located on a county dirt road. Maricopa County did the road grading on a semi regular basis. I was Pastor of LITTLEVALLEY CHURCH. There once was about 45 members, a large part of the members were construction crews that worked at a near by power plant under construction. By 1993 the workers had moved on, and that left about 16 members. There was a good support from the Conserative Baptist of Arizona, which owned the mortage on the church. They did much to help keep the church functioning.

The county has zoning laws and building permits are required to build houses, churches and most every type of building. Some time before 1992 before I came as pastor The church was told to have the parking lot paved. Spaces for the cars were determined by the space the church had for possible attendies in the church, as I was told..

On a typical Sunday Morning service there might have been four or five vehicles. But the EPA told Maricopa County they wanted spaces for two handicaped and 24 vehicles. This parking lot had to meet standards for a regular paved road, Now here is the real heartache, the road coming to the church was a dirt road. This made no sense!

The church asked why the county road did not have to be paved like the church. The Maricopa County was unwilling to bend, the church had to pave the parking lot or close the church. The parking lot would have cost about $ 20,000. The church was not able to make regular Mortage payments, and only a small amount to the pastor for gasoline, say nothing about finding $20,000. for a parking lot.

As the Pastor, I became the spokes person for interviews. We had television news people from Phoenix and National radio news. The church pictures was on the second page of Enquirer Magizine. NO one understood how this could happen to a church.

With all the news coverage and the Moricopa County officials being brought under pressure, we were unable to keep the church open. So the EPA and Maricopa County shut our LITTLEVALLEY CHURCH down.

There were many people deeply hurt with the closing of the church. Ther were many who helped build the church, gave money and donated many hours of time. Most important is the number of people who surrendered to Jesus Christ. There were some who went into ministry because of pastors that challenged people to follow Jesus Christ.

The question we had to deal with was this really the will of GOD to close this church? Could this serve as a warning for other Churches that gobernments can become so big as to over run the wishes of the people?

Nearly 20 years have passed, and I wonder what the people are doing now. I know of a few who have gone Home to be with Jesus. I wonder if by sharing this actual true story will alert Christians to what can happen to even your church.

Brothers and sisters satan is alive and actively trying to seek and destroy, be alert. You too, may find this real CROSS hard to believe, but everything is true.

John, your post has caused me great angst. The body of Christ continues to suffer greatly because of the deceptions which are being employed on many fronts to bring God's people into bondage.

How revealing that you would indicate the church name in ALL CAPS! A name spelled in all capital letters is created by Caesar (i.e. man's God-less government) for Caesar's purposes. And it's only created by him when you enter his system. It's never created when you do not enter his system. And it can start as early as the birth certificate or, in your non-profit church's case, the certificate of incorporation.

For the State to have control over something, it must first create it. What the State is capable of creating is a fictitious identity for real people. It then offers benefits to the fictitious identity, and if the real man accepts them, he accepts the control of the State as well. So any time the State creates an identity document such as an employee badge, a driver's license, a passport, or a corporation, it contains certain key elements that make it the State's creation, and not a true description of you or your ministry. The first is the name. The name is always spelled in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. You were never taught in school to spell your name this way, as this is not proper English. In law, anything spelled contrary to the rules of English is a legal fiction. So when you accept improper spelling, you are actually accepting an entirely new name: a name given to you by the State.

"Mortgage" is a biblical word (see Neh 5:3). Are you aware that the term "mortgage" is from the Latin morte (death) and gage (pledge)? Thus, mortgage = death pledge. We can read the first half of Nehemiah chapter five to discover what happens to those who enter into death pledges.

Of course it does. But those things of Caesar's only apply to those who have voluntarily signed on as Caesar's subjects.

Christ is sovereign over his church, while the State is sovereign over its corporations.

A church is not required to incorporate under the government.

As I've indicated, that the State controlled your church, which dissolved in late-1993, should no longer be of any surprise to you. And its laws are arbitrary and capricious, designed from the onset to benefit it and not you.

NO one understood how this could happen to a church.

Hopefully now you know how it can and does. Caesar holds out the carrot (e.g. non-profit status), but conceals the duty/obligation attached to that benefit.

Once the bait has been taken, and the catch is reeled in, another church has been transformed into a "legal fiction" subject to the tyrannical control of the federal government. The truth is that "incorporated churches" are not, by definition, churches at all! They are merely "non-profit organizations" (or should I say "non-prophet organizations"). The truth is, any "church" that is incorporated has deposed Jesus Christ from His rightful position as Head over His own Body and has surrendered that Body to the dominion of the State.

A CORPORATION (always registered as an ALL CAPS legal fiction) is a DEAD thing of Caesar's, holding jurisdiction over his own and only his own. The body of Christ must recognize the deception and refuse to partake of it.

So any time you see the ALL CAPS name, you are really looking at the artificial PERSON (or CORPORATION). Most State benefits are only available to him, and he is the actual citizen of the State. Things are deliberately structured this way to get the lawful Christian man to volunteer to identify himself instead as the artificial PERSON, and therefore a subject of the State.

The question we had to deal with was this really the will of GOD to close this church? Could this serve as a warning for other Churches that gobernments can become so big as to over run the wishes of the people?

By now, you should know the answer to that. It's not about big governments or the will of God or the wishes of the people; it's about believers ignorantly and voluntarily submitting themselves to the rule of the god of this world. The authentic God is a gentleman who will not violate your free-will choices; so we need to be certain we are making the proper choices!

Thank you for sharing. Christians need to support Christian businesses, just as the Jews support their own businesses. This is deception to the highest level, why would they want their t-shirts made by Christians ? If this situation was reversed the Christian would be force to edit his message. Share this company with your church or those in a related business. Jay Blanton can do as he/she pleases. This PR move is to send assurance to the Lgbt community that " I have you back, my organization do not share in this belief."

Churches and Christian Business owners, make sure your sponsors are Christians because in situations like this you have 2 choices. Hide your belief and compromise or upset sponsors, lose money and stand by what you believe. Both are hard choices but only one is rewarded.

I believe in freedom of speech but store policy is store policy. I don't walk into local restaurants Serving Halal meat, ask if they could make non halal, when they say no cry discrimination. It's Muslim own, who am I to ask them to break their traditions to serve me.
