Note: the stuff in italics are not actually part of the riddle, but they are vital to understanding how to tell the riddle.
Ok, so there are three cats in a tree. There names are Oprah, Sondra, and Repeat. Now there is another tree, much smaller, but tall enough and sturdy enough to hold several cats. Soon, a gust of wind causes Sondra to feel extremely cold and to move to the smaller tree, which is warmer.
Now if you stop the joke right there, you'll notice two odd things. There are three cats in two trees, and one of the names of the cats is Repeat. Keep that in mind, it will come in handy later on.
Now let's say Oprah grows bored of Repeat's old stories, and decides to move to Sondra's tree. And poor little old Repeat is all alone. Who is left on the original tree?
More than likely, the person hearing the joke is going to say Repeat. Now here's where the joke gets interesting. In the real world, if someone says repeat, that means that the person hearing you didn't not understand what your saying and or meant. Therefore, you have several choices to ending this riddle. 1. you can congratulate the person for getting the correct answer. 2. You can say something like "repeat what" or "Do you really want me to repeat the joke. 3. And finally, you can repeat the last portion, or even the final joke. You can even constantly repeat the riddle just to annoy people.
