I understand your dislike of these theological debates.
Our problem is the modern Church is a compilation of differing streams of theology from the past. These theologies were attempts at dealing with heresies that threatened the Church at different times. You would also have witnessed this process in the New Testament letters.
Where Paul was constantly explaining the doctrine of Jesus Christ. This was usually against opposition, hence his letters could be viewed as a form of debate.
Also, due to a lack of the Holy Spirit, some of these theologies do not reflect Biblical truth very well. Hence, discussion will of course arise as different people present their opinions on different topics.
I suppose that as long as people remain civil in their responses this would not represent a problem.
I will admit I have learned one or two things myself.
so Moses supposes that theological debate is necessary?
