Would You Want Brought Back From The Dead?

what do you think about resurection? Do you think that today that still happens? you here peopel say it has but you would think if God brought someone back from the dead who has been dead for days it would be on every new station in the world. Now with that out of the way let's get to the question at hand, would you want to be brought back? Here's why you should say no.

    1. Any life insurance policy payed to the family would taken back and you and the family would possibly be sued for insurance fraud and faking your death.

    2. You would cease to exist. Your identity, SS#, bank account and so on would be linked to a dead man, or woman, and you would need a whole new identity.

    3. If you are on SSI you wont be able to get it back.

    4. You could be sued by other companies you owe money to for faking your death to get out of your bills.

    5. Going back to number 2 and to avoid 1, 3 and 4 you would have to disappear.

    6. If you did number 5 none of your family would know your alive again or where you are and your family would still be stuck with your debts.

    7. If you lived a horrible life you have leave heaven to return to your horrible life.

    8. It would cause a lot of confusion and anger in your family when everyone suspects you faked your own death.

There you have it 8 good reasons not to be brought back, can you think of anymore, let me know.

Well, if it did happen, you would have your medical records and first hand testimony from respected medical personnel that you were in fact deceased, and therefore not trying to scam anyone.
Insurance companies take time to pay out, and it would definitely be after the funeral. If you were cremated, it would certainly be a miracle to come back from the dead. If you were buried, the morticians would have pumped you full of chemicals, and there would be no blood in you, which, along with breathing, is your life source.
If someone were dead for days, like Lazarus, I think it certainly would be newsworthy. It could happen, but will it? That's God's department.
I do believe that Lazarus was dead for 4 days and that Jesus called him out and his body came back to life. And it was newsworthy in that day, some jews believed in Jesus on that day, and others went to the religious leaders to tell them what Jesus had done. It was because of this one act that the jewish leaders began to plot how to kill Jesus, according to John 11: 46-53.

46 But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.
47 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin. "What are we accomplishing?" they asked. "Here is this man performing many miraculous signs.
48 If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation."
49 Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, "You know nothing at all!
50 You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish."
51 He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation,
52 and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.
53 So from that day on they plotted to take his life.

Personally, I would not want to come back. In fact, I would like to go today. Not that my life is horrible or that I have nothing to live for, but I can't wait to be there!
Remember that God thinks you're worth it! :teeth:

No I would not want to come back........Not because of the reasons suggested, but because I am a follower of Jesus. Jesus said "He that followeth me.....etc.

    2 Cor 5:8

    Blessings to you.......in Jesus

I agree COMPLETELY! I would definately not want to come back but rather be with my Savior in Heaven.

That is of course, unless His will was that I would come back. (Only exception).

If I were dead....and God raised me from the dead, it would be for a purpose, His purpose, His glory.

All I have in this life is His, so anything I lose is still gain.

I might be asking Him not to do it...but in this day and age, what a chance to witness about how magnificent is our Lord.!!

Of course there would be all those "Christians" who would be crying scam, and fake and blah blah blah right along with the worldy people.
