How free??? - 12-03-09, 07:35 AM

How free isthe ''Land of the free''.

We hear; over here, that you can't go carol singing in your neighberhood or give out invites to your services or meetings & that you are resricted in sharing the gospel.

How true is all this??

How do you get round the difficulties??

What suggestions could you offer us in the UK.??

While the God haters are doing their best to remove the foundational principals this country was born of one can still Christ mas carol and witness freely in all the places I know.
President Obama has recently signed a bill that would make it a hate crime to witness to homosexuals. Personally I believe that not telling them they can get free and be made whole would be the hate crime.
Christendom in the USA is under unrelenting attacks as are the freedoms of the people but it is not over yet.
One thing they still fear is the (sadly) silent majority rising up and demanding that common sense and common decency be restored.
I see that beginning to happen so there is still hope.
Or as the song puts it so well:

You can still pray in the USA by Morgan Cryar:
Teacher sayin', Cant be prayin',
says it's against the rules
we're free today, in the USA,
not here in my school
Well I got news for you today,
you can't stop a heart that prays

You can still pray in the USA,
You can still pray in the USA
'till they steal your heart away
You can still pray in the USA,
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Well, I'm no rebel, just a pebble
stuck in some judges shoe
my bended knee may not be free
but my hearts gonna break on thru
they're pouring fuel on the fire
tryin' to stop what God desires

You can still pray in the USA,
You can still pray in the USA
'till they steal your heart away
You can still pray in the USA,
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,

Someday we may hear it
"Prayin is a Felony"
I guess they'll call us criminals then
I guess that's what I'll be
oh yeah

pray in the USA, You can still pray in the USA
'till they steal your heart away
don't you know, You can still pray in the USA,

You can pray in the USA,
You can still pray in the USA
'till they steal your heart away
You can still pray in the USA,
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Psa 62:5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

There is no law in the United States that prevents witnessing to homosexuals. I assume the reference is to the Matthew Shepard Act, passed in October.

The law applies to violent acts only: it does not apply to speech.

Unless I am missing something?

In essence , the ********** movement has seemingly determined them to be a "race"?
A "race" that has all colors of peoples, and are called "gay" and "lesbian" not male or female.

When I hand out tracks, I do not ask, are you gay or lesbian...I have no idea, in fact I am not even thinking about their sexual preference, ( which is what "gay" and "lesbian" is) I simply hand them out and wish a nice day to everyone.

So I could be arrested now, because as a "Christian" I am not a race, but a loonie?

Cool.

How long before the pedophile determines they are a race, born that way and start demanding rights?

I don't hate anyone, I just think political correctness has paved a nice sidewalk into hell-o!! and has nothing to do with biblical values.

Jesus please hurry!!!

Wow, can't even type the word H---S___al in this forum!!!

How Free ??? God's Plan B - 12-12-09, 12:27 AM

I don't believe God is alarmed about what the God haters are doing. He has never been backed into a corner. He has never said, "Oh my goodness, what do I do now?" He has always had a powerful Plan B and it just may be that now is the time for the church to turn to that plan.

Just last night, a close friend of mine told me that he'd recently heard a missionary say that a change in missions focus is taking place in America. The move is away from street corner evangelism and other forms of external activity to programs centered on building relationships with unsaved people. I think that is God's Plan B, the plan that He is now puttijg forward. He wants us to do evangelism the way the church in the Book of Acts did it. Done effectively, the enemy will never be able to stop it, just as he couldn't stop it in the first century.

SLE

I want to be a coin in God's pocket that He can spend any way He wishes.

God has no plan B. he doesn't need one. the world runs according to his sovereign will.
i also have a question in response. What would the plan B have been if jesus had failed to carry out his purpose?

I did not choose God, God chose me

(God never fails...so no way He would have failed) But if He had to have a plan B...remember the flood? Or the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah? Thank goodness He got beyond 'regret' for our sake!!
