Jesus told me He loved me today - 07-24-08, 11:56 PM

The most amazing thing happened to me while at work this morning. I was cleaning around my desk, straightening up, when I heard a voice in my head - it sounded like my voice like I was talking to myself, but it wasn't my voice if that makes any sense. The voice called my name, really simply, not loud, just normal talk. I stopped and without even thinking about it, said, "Yes, Lord?" And The Voice said, "I love you."

After getting hold of myself, I asked, "Who am I Lord?" {like 'who am I that you should talk to me? I'm nobody'}. The Voice said, "You are Mine." Now, mind you, I adore my Bible and read it constantly, so that part of scripture is engraved on my heart and in my mind...

This truly happened to me today. For real. I was not expecting my Lord to speak to me in such a way, despite the fact that I constantly ask Him to show me His face and let me feel His presence, because I ALWAYS tell Him that. It was just another day at work until my Lord showed up. I'm not a drug addict or a drinker, I'm an average Joe putting in a day at work, so I wasn't hallucinating. I've never had any mental health problems.

Later tonight when I got home, satan actually put a picture in my mind of Jesus and His angels laughing at me for believing that Jesus would actually let me experience that. I'm rebuking satan though.

I posted this to ask if I'm right in believing that Yeshua/the Holy Spirit would "speak" to me today...am I crazy for believing this was my Lord?

I believe He spoke to me one other time as well, and it was very similar to this time.

Has anyone else has anything like this happen to them? I'd love to hear about it. I'd have done a search on the board, but was kind of confused as to what I should search for!

Thanks to all who help. God bless you all. I Thank God for this mb because I'm still a "baby" Christian {been saved just under a year}, so being able to talk with other believers is so important.

"The voice called my name, really simply, not loud, just normal talk...And The Voice said, "I love you."

That was simply beautiful.

Go back to the garden...did God not talk audibly to His creation...

There are accounts of God talking audibly in the letters of the Testament
of Christ as well...

God uses the world around us to communicate with us, in ways we will hopefully recognize and hear Him...and there are moments in time, God lets us hear His own voice...and those times are very personal (our God is a personal God) and so real and indescribable...as the writer says 'in His presence is fullness of joy!' How do you express fullness of joy, except with one word ~ God!

There are some who say Jesus never lived,
and Heaven was somebody`s dream...
But I just called out His name on my knees,
and I heard Him answer my plea...

We`ve walked too many mountains together,
and we`ve crossed thru the valleys of life....
To some I know Jesus might not be...
But you know Hes so real to me...

Praise His glorious beauty!

One passion One devotion. Know God...make Him known.

My experience - 07-25-08, 02:30 PM

Hello. I HAVE actually had this happen to me. Once, someone was calling my name. It wasn't loud or anything. It was quiet, whispered. I didn't get a chance to really listen. I was 'busy' at the moment doing dishes. BUT the next time, I'll know what to do. At first, I didn't know who it was, but my spirit did. :-) When I told my husabnd, he asked me who I thought it was. I didn't hesitant. I said JESUS. So, I'm looking out for that time again! Don't let those moments go by.

I was remembering the story in the Bible of Elijah. Going up into the cave...running from Jezebel I believe. God wasn't in the loud things...the migthy things...the earthquake, the thunder, the wind. He was in the still small voice. :-) Also, the story when God was calling Samuel's name.

This could be a 'sign' of you getting close to God and God is getting close to you. Keep your mind and heart open. Keep your ears spirit tuned. He'll do it again. :-) I am sure of it.

Our God is SO awesome. I, myself, never want to miss the times when He speaks to me! I never want to put Him in a box where He'll not come out because He is a gentleman and won't force us to do anything. We are FREE 'SLAVES'!! :-D Our Master, Jesus, has set us free from sin, now we are 'slaves' of His work. Weird I know...but it is true. Our Master sets us free. No matter what others might say to this experience. Just listen to what Jesus says. Obey Him. He will never steer you wrong! :-)

When I am weak, Jesus is strong. When I stumble, Jesus carries me. When I am heavyhearted, Jesus takes my burden. When I cry, Jesus wipes the tears.

I am happy to report ;)

God first spoke to me audibly in 2004 and He is still with me today.

I have conversations with the Lord each and every day, He is with me, around me and in me.

I don't think you are crazy and I don't care who believes me either.

God is great and there is no other.

Faithful Son

John 20:31
31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Dear Sister in Christ

What a wonderful experience to hear the Lord's voice of love being spoken to you. What a richness that will add to your prayer and praise of Him.

I experienced a gentle loving whisper in my head over a period of 9 years. I was backslidden at the time and the Lord was urging me to return to Him with words of peace and love. I tried at first to ignore Him but He was always there calling me back to Him.

May you be richly blessed by this sister

Your sister in Christ

Julia

Speak Lord, for thy servant heareth... 1 Samuel 3:9

Speak thy servant heareth
Be not silent Lord
Wait my soul upon Thee
For the quickening word.

He is altogether lovely...my beloved and my friend

Dear sister,

now you will never forget.....

Jesus Loves you!

Yes what richness this adds to you .... and in days to come when the trials beset you, this word from the Lord will come back to you and strengthen you.... and keep you.

My gracious Lord told me once, "I'll always be with you" and He is true to His word.... so just as He is always with me... be sure that He Loves you!

Bless you sister,

Br. Bear

ps... I have just been reminded that a couple of days ago, I heard someone call my name... I looked around... there was no-one there I could see....
I feel somewhat chastised now, remembering this and realising that it didn't click that the Lord may be calling me. Perhaps He only wanted to distract me for the moment to prevent something? We are loved by the King of Love Himself, Jesus Christ the Lord ....><>

Having god talk to you is a wonderful experience. Especially something like god telling you about things you are unsure about. Recently I was in a service for my youth group where the band was playing worship music while those who needed healing would go by the altar. I sat there crying about what I've done until god said this. "Do not weep, my son, but instead rejoice, for your sins are forgiven." That drove me to stand up, still crying but with a smile on my face and worship and sing like crazy.

Truly beautiful and amazing - 07-26-08, 05:16 PM

Dear sister ImmanuelWithUs

I know that I have already posted a reply here but:

This thread has really touched the depth of my heart. I've had a new realisation of the Lord's amazing love. All day I have reflected on His voice. I have wept with utter amazement at the vastness of His love and mercy.

I share this with you, dear readers, not to speak about myself but to exalt His wonderful name.

Throughout the nine years that I continually heard His voice I was an utter backslidden wretch. Most of the time I was unaware of my surroundings due to drugs and alcohol - totally oblivious to the world around me.

However, even when everything around me was a ball of confusion, His lovely voice was always crystal clear - whispering audible words of love into my blurred world. Bible verses, snippets of hymns and most of all the words 'come home'.

Oh how the Lord yearns for His wandering wayward children to return and how gently He pleads. Nine years I ignored that voice. Praise God - He never let me go - but just gently drew me back to the fold.

I took them in my arms. But they did not know I healed them, I led them with cords of a man with bonds of love. And I became as one who lifts the yoke and I bent down and fed them
(Hosea 11: 3 & 4)

Blessed wonderful Lord Jesus thank You that You speak to Your children with words of love, guidance and reassurance. May we ever be receptive to that beautiful sweet voice. Thank You Jesus.

God bless you sister for this thread which has truly made me realise more than ever before how beautiful and amazing the voice of Jesus is.

Julia
