In my belief blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the same as accepting the mark of the beast. Picture in your mind someone who has accepted the mark. There hearts would be cold to god and others. They will not care for gods love or forgiveness.They just simply wont care for anything but themselves. So i believe blasphemy of thr Holy Spirit is the same it hardens your heart to gods forgiveness. It takes your ability to ask for forgiveness away. So if you are worried you have done it this may help you to know you havent. If you love and care about god and others then you havent done it

matt ch12verse 31 and 32 New Living Translation scripture refrence says blasphemy agianst the holy spirit is a deliberate and irreversible hardness of heart. sometimes believers worry that they have committed this unforgivable sin.but only those who have turned thier backs on god and rejected all faith have any need to worry.jesus said that they cant be forgiven-not because thier sin is worse than any other but because they will never ask for forgiveness. So brothers and sisters if you care for god and seek his forgiveness you are innocent of this thing

This shows you how much GOD loves us and wants to spend eternity with us in Heaven. He has made it 100% easy for us to receive salvation and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. I feel sorry for GOD to put up with my sins and the world's sins each day. GOD is the only perfect, holy One in the world, with the most broken heart.

I pray that everyone here on Talk Jesus will remember this and think of the pain Jesus went through for you and I. Think of what GOD did from the womb to the tomb, and after 'til this day.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is a specific thing Lets look at the veses where it was mentioned and read it in context.


Mark 3

22And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, "He has Beelzebub," and, "By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons."
23So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: "How can Satan cast out Satan? 24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. 27No one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house. 28 "Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation"-- 30because they said, "He has an unclean spirit."

What did the scribes do? They said that the Holy Spirit that was with Jesus was "Beelzebub" They accused the Spirit of being a demon, (like calling God satan) that act is the sin of blasphemy of the Spirit. verse 30 refers to "they" they where the scribes in verse 22.

So if one pronounces that another person has a demon and that person actually is indwelled by the Holy Spirit then one has just accused the Holy Spirit of being a demon and has committed the sin that "never has forgiveness" and they are "subject to eternal condemnation".

See the thing is sleepy.That christians fear they have done this unforgivable sin by accident.But the truth is if they care for god and his fogiveness then they haven't done it.It shows that gods forgiveness has no bounds!!!!People figure if they have done it that there might be no hope for them.But by this i see there is no way one could do it without knowing they have done it.This very thing bothered me when i learned of it when i just started seeking god. I agree the verses you mentioned Mark 3:22 is a very dangerous thing to do. What were they doing? they said Jesus "has a devil" and the works He did was from the power of the devil. In light of this it is also a very serious thing to say a minister is of the devil when they dont understand certain things he does or not beleive like he believes. Perhaps they dont agree. But I believe we should not judge but pray for them if we think these is something wrong. If we are critisizing someone and only God knows their heart, not us, then we could be speaking against God and His works saying its of the devil. We may be walking on thin ice. Its better to just leave it alone and leave it to God.

The Holy Spirit does not speak of himself, but testifies that Jesus is mesiah, so to blapheme or defame the Holy Spirit is to reject Christ also.

Telling someone that they are misguided and that that what they are teaching is wrong is not the same as accusing someone of being demon possessed. You do not have to be possessed by a demon to have misguided views on the will of God, people are quite capable of getting the will of God wrong by themselves without needing a demon to help them.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is a specific action. Even if i truly believe someone is promoting false teachings on Jesus i would never accuse them of being demon possessed.
