so, is what i am hearing that there is no home for gays in the heart of the lord?

I myself have had trouble in accepting them, I am sure, but I will pray for them if it is right to do so.

That is how I write to devils who come to this site to cause trouble . You are only reserving you're place in HELL! God shines light on all darkness hakooibia ! And he has revealed you to me ! Pretty haunting huh? If God does not see you , then how did I know that you are just an old familiar devil , back again . But not for long . God is giving you a chance to repent before you suffer great repercussions for working against him and his servents ! Did I miss anything ?

You missed nothing - apart from the fact that you can't spell properly and your grammar is appaling.

I would have thought that people as devoted as yourselves would relish a little challenge to voice your opinions regarding your faith and shout from the roof tops to anyone who would listen...

are you scared of people questioning your faith Brother Mike?

I know this won't be popular but I just feel this way

I have a female cousin in my large extended anglo-irish family who is gay and I firmly believe she has always been this way.

    I tell you why...

    1. She truly desires to be heterosexual... Life for her would have been far easier (We are an old fashioned irish family coming out was pure agony for her and she waited for my Irish/Jewish Grandmother whom she was idolised by, before she told our family). She told her mum she would have loved to be heterosexual even tried to have a boyfriend to fit in ... it went against all her instincts.

    2. She is a perfectionist ... a doctor who wants everything just right. She wishes she could marry and was heartbroken when her sister announced her engagement because she wishes she was "normal".

    3. There are 3 months between us ... and as small children she never was interested in playing with myself and other female cousins. My brother was the only boy - she went off and played football. I never understood why she was such a tom boy. She screamed as a child from the moment she was aware if her mum dressed her in anything remotely girly. Refusing to wear dresses and skirts and her mum was well trained as a teacher in child discipline but knew it was hurting her daughter to try and change her. She insisted her hair was short and in a boys style.

    4. Life growing up with this burden was agony for her so a choice .... I must say NO. She didn't choose she just is.

If I didn't know my cousin I may think differently. But she has always been the way she is.

Though, I might also add I have kissed many a young man as a young lass and one of my early boyfriends I found later had "come out". Thing is after our first kiss, I couldn't carry the relationship on because I felt like I was either kissing a girl or a brother (not that I have kissed either of the latter) and I just knew in my gut something wasn't right, overwhelmingly unnatural. He met me years later and was so much happier having come out.

I know people will disagree here and don't question God's teachings but just feel this way because of life experience. If it isn't a choice can it be judged? I don't know...

I love and accept my cousin the way she is. She needs our support because life for her has been tough enough already. If I am wrong to feel this way may God forgive me but I feel we must have compassion and understanding.

Sleepy God bless you. GOD gave us all a choice and through Jesus Christ's defeating against the devil on the Cross, gave us authority over all sin and tempation.

That means your cousin does have a choice.

Let us not forget this very important passage...

    1 Corinthians 6:9
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

    Some more...

    Deuteronomy 23:17
17 No Israelite man or woman is to become a shrine prostitute.

    1 Kings 14:24
24 There were even male shrine prostitutes in the land; the people engaged in all the detestable practices of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.

    Leviticus 18:22 (KJV):
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind it is abomination.

    Leviticus 20:13:
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them

    Romans 1:24-32:
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

    Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

    Strength through Jesus Chirst:

    Philippians 1:6:
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Taken from Bible.com (very reliable source)

No one has to live in bondage with an abnormal life of homosexuality nor any other abnormal behavior. No one has to be controlled by pornography. No one has to have evil thoughts plague their minds. There is a way out through what Jesus has done for us. He loves sinners and wants to free us from any evil practices. He will empower those who cry out for deliverance to get free and stay free. Here are the steps you must take to get free:

(1.) Make a total commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Be willing to turn your life completely over to the will of God and yield to His plan for your life. This means you must be willing to do anything, go anywhere and give up any thing as He leads. Remember, God will never lead you to do anything that is not in agreement with the Bible. You can trust God. He created you and has a better plan for your life.

(2.) Your must pray and read your Bible daily. You must study and apply the Word of God to overcome Satan's attacks. The way that you resist the attacks of the devil is by quoting the Word of God to him. When the devil came to tempt Jesus, He simply quoted the Word to him. Good praise tapes will also be of a great help when you are tempted. Put one on and start singing along with it.

(3.) You must pray for and seek out a strong Bible believing group of Holy Spirit filled people. You will need their help and fellowship. As you humble yourself and seek help, the Lord will deliver you. Ask God to lead you to someone that can pray the prayer of deliverance for you, as you probably will need to be set free from a demon. You should also seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit as you will need His power to get free and to remain free.

(4.) You must cut off all sources and relationships that would lead you back into sin. The Bible tells us to flee fornication (sexual sins). You must get out of any corrupt entanglements, or areas that you know will be a temptation to you. If you have been hooked on internet pornography subscribe to an Internet Service Provider that will filter out the pornography for you. Destroy all evil books and videos.

(5.) Should you slip or fall back occasionally, repent and get right back up and go on with God. Do not allow the devil to condemn you once you have repented. Put your sin under the blood of Jesus. He will strengthen you and you will win this battle because of the Lord's promise to you. Remember, He loves you and is there to help you. Run to Him when you get in trouble, never run from Him. He will not ever give up on you! We too, will be standing with you for your total healing and deliverance. Philippians 1:6: "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."

(6.) You must forgive everyone that has ever hurt you. You can only do this through the power of God. You must by a simple act of your will voice the forgiveness and then the Lord will give you the feeling of forgiveness. This may be a while in coming but just keep forgiving when you think of any wrong that has been done to you. The Lord will give you His love for those people who have wronged you.

Or, not even sex, but the desire to be companions, buddy with the same sex all the time.

Your quote If any out there have some sort of inbuilt attraction for the same sex and sucessfully quash those feelings, even to the extent of remaining single because of love for God over their fleshly desires then i applaud them. I agree with you. That is sacrifice of self in order to remain righteous with God, and it is tough for them!

When you have interaction, evangelizing, witnessing to these persons you develop the ability through our Lord and Savior Jesus to see the hurt. Its an opportunity to be there first, as a friend, then allow God to work through you in your calling to witness. We also cross the paths of many gays who are very proud of their sexual preference and don't attempt to seek God about it but accept it and incorporate it in their personal lifestyle.

Either way, we are to LOVE them and continue to witness Jesus Christ to them, not only by introducing the Gospels, but by our character - the way you look at them, the tone of your voice, the way you listen. When we seek God earnestly, He teaches us the spiritual maturity to LOVE you (meaning all of us) despite your inner fleshly desires that are battled every day.

    Thank you, Sparky.

    Your servant in Christ Jesus.
    Dear Brothers and sisters,

What Sparky was sharing was not intended to condone gay activities and my post of the ministry that I was sharing does not condone gay activities. I am encouraged that Liberty Valance's and Sleepy's testimonies, and GirlforGod's reference of The Exodus project, is in sinc of what Sparky and I were discussing.

I was also given the name of Exodus - a prosperous Christian project that is based in Orlando, Florida, and the San Francisco bay area (represents Berkeley, Daly City, Oakland, and San Jose). By the grace of God this organization has helped thousands of gays convert to Christianity, and continue to seek counseling, build up spirituality to fight off the darkness of this deceiving fleshly desire. And its working, thank you, Jesus Christ! You are our carrier, our redeemer! Hallelujah To The Lamb!

Those of you that are sharing your views rebuking the context of "sinful acts" of gays, backed with scripture will get no argument from of us because we are also students of the Word. We are well aware of the gays who still fall back, by their choice, into their fleshy desires, men having sex with men, and women having sex with women, and attend gay churches here in San Francisco! Once again, your views backed with scripture is correct. Praise God for His truth!

This behavior rejects Jesus, then shake the dust off your feet, and lay it before God. Press on, continue the work God has commanded you.

I have observed some of your choice words, text jibberish, combined with "one on one" reactions and comdemnations to other's posts of this topic. I will ask you to please refrain from doing this. It is not fruitful. I will encourage us to remember to focus on our Father, seek what He leads you to post with LOVE, and respect to the author of this thread and others here at Talk Jesus.

Meantime, I will prayfully contact Exodus International in San Francisco, and will ask you all to pray for this ministry and my calling to address some of their Christian clients who are victorious to overcome their bondage of this despicable sin.

    Your servant in Christ Jesus.

    Bobinfaith:
AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!! Thank you for putting us all back in our places on this issue. God is truly speaking through you. The sin of homosexuality is no different than the sins we all carry. Satan does love to bring debate among families of believers and I know God was using you to tell us:

[It is not fruitful. I will encourage us to remember to focus on our Father, seek what He leads you to post with LOVE, and respect to the author of this thread and others here at Talk Jesus.]

Since I mentioned my family has personally dealt with this issue let me tell you the one quote a paster said that deeply convicted and humbled me through my family's trial:
"The sin of homosexuality is too often preached about with too little love and too much truth or too much love and not enough truth. There is a balance that Christ can help us find."

Thank you for your words of wisdom, and God Bless you.
