Our Purpose: to show you the love of Jesus Christ, His promises of
Salvation & Blessings and to spread the Good News to the ends of the
Earth [Mark 16:15]. We're also here to edify the church
[Ephesians 4:11-12].
'... Keep your conscience clear...' 1 Timothy 1:19
Paul insists we know the difference between right and wrong. No matter what advantages twisting our sense of right may bring, Paul warns us to stay God's side of the fence. He lays it on the line to Timothy: 'Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.' Now, a captain doesn't set out to wreck his ship. But if he falls asleep at the wheel or takes his eye off the compass, he will end up on the rocks anyway.
The question is not, 'Can I get away with it?' No, the question is, 'Can I live with it afterwards? How will it affect my confidence before God? How does He feel about it? Who am I trying to please? In Romans 14:23 he gives another warning: 'If you notice that you are acting in ways inconsistent with what you believe... then you know you are out of line. If the way you live isn't consistent with what you believe, then it's wrong'. After all what good is it to receive everybody's respect but not deserve it? Keep your life clean and clear before God.
What now? Here's an idea: handmake a poster, like the Word 4U 2Day pull-outs, with the verse, 'I do my level best to keep a clear conscience before God' (Acts 24:16) And hey, if you do, take a photo and upload it to our facebook page - we'd love to see it!

Colossians 3:2-3, "Set you minds on things above, not on earthy things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." (NIV)
it doesn't mean you have to suffer bad conscience if there's a reason to feel guilty. Because God forgives and forgets. Problem is what you think about it.
so pray about it if you feel bad abouth something. It's all forgiven at the cross..
