''... He kept his eyes on the one who is invisible' ' Hebrews 11:27
It starts out like this: 'We were texting loads and then, on last night's text, there were three kisses at the end! Three! Before it was two, max! Honestly, serious butterflies when I got that text.
So nice having someone to make you feel special... he's my everything.' But then, this happens: 'You will not believe this, right. I texted him three kisses, right, as usual. We always send three kisses - minimum. He texts back one, one! I felt so special before and now I just feel like a turd he wants to scrape off!
It doesn't matter how perfect you think someone is, they will eventually disappoint, upset or frustrate you. No one gets it right all the time. That's why getting your confidence and self-worth from God, and not from someone else, is so important. Your relationship with Him, the unseen, should come before anyone or anything.
Loved ones can come and go, but look at God's love in comparison: '...Neither death nor life ... neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord' (Romans 8:38-39 NIV).
What now?
Take some time out to think of some things that stress you out or worry you. Make a decision to 'Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you' (1 Peter 5:7) He promises He will '...quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing' (Zephaniah 3:17).
