First and most importantly..... PRAY FOR THEM! you did not mention whether or not they were a believer so it must be said that without Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit it is a long shot that they will ever conquer their addiction. i say this as one who has, through Christ, conquered drugs, alcohol, and pornography.
Secondly, and equally important... your friend is going to need a friend. So be there for them without judging them. Do not compromise the truth of your conviction or the truth of God's word. But you can be there in Love. Love is an action word and is a powerful witness. i hope this helps.
"Grace and Peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ." Peter 1:2
Prayer is definitely the number one thing we can do for anyone.
Ask your friend if they would be open to Pastoral counseling.
Also very important- while we do not want to be "judgmental" we certainly need to be cautious of enabling this type of behavior.
I will be praying for your friend.
Psa 62:5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
David this person is a christain goes to church every sunday
thanks this persn rally needs it

i would encourage you and your friend to read Galatians, chapter 6. Also, if you feel comfortable enough to do so, it is helpful for you to maybe share some of your own struggles. As a child of God, it is our responsibility to our brothers and sisters in Christ to call them out when sin is knowingly and accepted in one's life. This is not to be confused with judging but rather it is done out of love. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin in our own life not out of judgement or condemnation but out of love.
We strive to be Christ like in our own life not out of guilt or because it's what we think we should be doing, but it is out of love for our Savior who shed His blood and died for us.
Also, you can share I Corinthians 10:13
i will continue to pray for both you and your friend. This is an excellent opportunity for both of you to grow in you faith.
I can pray for the person to stop once he/she is truly willing to stop.
Let me know.
I usually endeavor to handle the situation from the source, meaning why
do they want to do these addictions again?
Then I can also ask God to release them from the situation that is causing
the need for addcitions.
Let me know
