How to live well in Christ

How to live well in Christ

Jesus says: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4) This means that we may be eating well but we will still perish because, to actually live, we need the Word of God.

What must we do to live well?

The Bible says: “do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

Therefore, we can only be transformed by the renewing of our minds – and this can only be done when we search the written Word of God for every situation that we face. We must not listen to what our hearts say because the Bible says that “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?” (Jer 17:9)

By searching the Bible and relating the scriptures to the situations that we face, and making decisions based on that Word of God, we can transform our minds. As the Word of God is Jesus Christ (John 1:1), we must also spend time in prayer to build a relationship with Him.

If your heart does not feel like doing this, pray:

In Jesus Name I command my heart and mind and flesh not to be led by their own desires but to seek the Word of God in every situation and to meditate on the Word before making any decision. I command every spirit of self-dependence and self-seeking to go from me in Jesus Name. I receive humility and obedience to Jesus. Amen.

This helped me, I pray it helps you too.

God bless and Peace of Christ!

    Servant of Christ,
    Dhanusha
