Job 11: 13-20 - 12-23-09, 03:55 PM

I would like to share this verse with my fellow brother and sisters through Jesus Christ, and to ask what this scripture personally speaks to you about. I read this last night, and started to weep, it really spoke to me about the issues in my life, that by turning away from sin, you can "lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm and without fear"

Job 11: 13-20

Love Craig

Dear Craig

The main man in the book given his name was the man Job.

Job 1:1 tells us that Job was perfect and upright and feared the LOrd and hated evil........an excellent testimony. But he was not in heaven yet!

satan said "Doth Job fear God for nothing"? The LOrd said "All that he hath is in thy power.....so satan went out and attacked him.......The so called Job comforters are akin to folks today who criticise those who are following Jesus, when they observe such precious people "toiling in the sea" of life Mk 6: 48

Job lost everthing he owned....even his health and reputation. Hence self righteous men came along to give there advice.

Job clung to his faith in God....even to the point of saying "Though He slay me yet I'll trust HIm....I shall yet come forth as gold....for I know that He still liveth, for I feel Him in my soul" Job 23: 10

We need to hang on to the words of Jesus........who said "He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life" We are following Him!

Jesus is our Saviour, and His words alone are life giving. The types and shadows of the Old Testament, are fulfilled in the New Testament, and in Jesus, and His church.

Hope this helps Bro Craig.....In His Love

Jesus said "I am the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE"......Without the WAY there is no GOING, without the TRUTH there is no KNOWING without the LIFE there is no LIVING....

Back in the Old Testament, When Zophar told Job what he could have in God, like living with out fear, living without a blemish and having hope , tells me how much more will we have these things through Jesus Christ and God calls it a gift and if it is a gift, then it is free!

" I'll see you here or I will see you up there or I will see you in the air"!.....Beam me up , Lord!
