I agree that it is a poem of Solomon about a relationship he had, but more than that I know that " every scripture is inspired by the Spirit..." And the Spirit will always mention things which are eternal more than the temporal. The Spirit will glorify Jesus and His attributes than man's. So Songs of Solomon, being a romantic poetry that it is, is inspired by the Holy Spirit and even when it instructs you on the physical lines, it has an eternal and spiritual significance and that is the "Spiritual love or bond of Jesus and His Bride".
JESUS IS AWESOME.

I have to agree with you here Gideon - Song of Solomon is not just a romantic poem. As with the rest of the Bible it is inspired by the Holy Spirit, and it is more when we have come to the stage of intimacy with Jesus that He will speak to us from Songs of Solomon. I had a personal experience 2 years ago where God used this book to speak to me. I would love to say here what it is, but it is too special to be torn apart as often happens when people disagree on a topic, before this though I would have said it is a very hard book to understand.
