I use to listen to P.O.D, and just like any other band that labels themselve christian, their evironment - mtv, awards shows, mixing with secular bands and satisfying their secular producers, will create a back lash.. Thats why I think its important for christian bands to be under christian labels.

Mel Gibson character is questionable, he produces a Christian movie we call him Christian and support him. He then gets in a drunken car accident and spills hateful things about jews..Now he himself wasn't being a good witness, and the man who Jewish scholars accused of producing a anti-Semitism film....showed his true colours that night.

Anyone can say I'm Christian, they produce a movie , a song, a book and the church runs off to buy it. We make the mistake of calling a product christian because the creator says he's Christian.

The church needs to be more selective, the best way to tell a Christian is by thier fruits.
P.OD May have thier issuses, but I'd be a liar if I said lives wasn't changed. There's no proof for me to say that change was permanent, but they got kids to go to church. If people were looking to POD for thier salvation , then there is a big problem.

If we can pray for a renewing of their minds, and for God to take over...that makes more sense then bashing them. The time these Pastors took to write bashing material on Christain rock bands, that same energry should have been spent trying to contact these bands,, invite them to their churches and witness to them.

Calling me a thief is not going to stop me from stealing, writting articles to bash me, is still not going to stop me from stealing, pushing me out of the church, is not going to stop me..An intervention of love and correction can help me, and if I reject the correction, then go write your articles, but still pray for me.
