1.)I've been having this question in mind alot.. Are women permitted to be pastors at a church? I say to myself.. God can use anyone.. I mean, he made rocks talk, didn't he? But then again, the bible says in 1 Timothy that women are not permitted to teach men because of their fall through Eve. I read in a guide that when Paul said this, the women during his time were very rowdy and therefore he had to instruct them to be silent.. What are you all opinion on this topic?? I'm researching this on my own, but I would like to know you alls opinion..

Women Pastors are a fact today in many churches, A of G included. The Acts of the Apostles tells of Aquilla and Pricilla who were a blessing. Later it is changed to Pricilla and Aquilla. This suggest's the lady assumed the leading role.......not pastoral, I agree but indicating that a lady had such an ability and was recognised

SpiritLedEd In 1 Cor 14:34, Paul tells the Corinthian church that women should be silent in church. I believe that he posted that rule in order to keep things organized. It wouldn't do for arguments to be breaking out between husbands and wives while services were going on, and that, I suspect, is what was happening in the churches in Asia Minor.

I would agree what my brother has stated here.

2.) Also, what do you think about speaking in tongues? Should it be in order as mentioned in 1 Corinithians or...? The bible mentions an interpreter.. I'm really confused when it comes to this and I'm just praying to God for direction...

We adhere to what the scripture says in the context you mention. It is a guideline and as such we take note. But it is only a guideline and not dogma. "The spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet" and if God is clearly present "let the other judge" the guideline may be over-run. "That all may be done decently and in order"
All mey speak in tongues...interpret....prophesy...for the edifying of the church...............as the passage teaches
as such we note. However the letter can kill, as the scripture
